Jade Stone Benefits

Jade belongs to the category of semi precious gemstones. Its name holds its origin in the Spanish vocabulary in which it belongs to the term of ‘Piedra De Hijada’, which in its literal meaning refers to the stone of the loin. This probably defines its healing abilities associated with curing the ailments of loin. In its other prominent aspects, it is found in varied range of colors such as blue, black, brown, cream, green, grey, lavender, orange, off-white, pink, red, yellow, and white. Among these extensive varieties of colors, those found in white and green are the most popular. China, Central America, Myanmar, Russia, and South America are the prominent sources of this stone. It is of two types- Jadeite and Nephrite.

Being Diversely Beneficial

Among its two forms, the Jadeite form is considered to be comparatively more valuable and effective. It is a rarely found gemstone, found in variety of colors such as grey-pink, grey-blue, pale-lilac, reddish-orange, reddish-brown, and white, with most of them holding a semi-opaque appearance. Its green form is popularly referred as ‘Emperial Jade’. On the other hand, the Nephrite form is comparatively more commonly found. It is available in colors of black, blue-grey, grey, green, intense green, yellow-brown, and white. The major aspect of distinction between Nephrite and Jadeite is the presence of transparency and intensity of color, or the lack of it. The latter is comparatively more intense and transparent in comparison to the former.

      I amazed at the healing components of jade. I see Asian jewelry with this stone in different forms and colors and they are beautiful. I may have to purchase a stone as an aide to positive emotional health.

      Love Jade, well any stone really. I write about stones as well. You might want to keep in mind that Jade, when green also aids with depression.
