"Let's Teach Our Children How To Have A Personal Relationship With Jesus Christ''

Teach your children in the way they should go, and they want stray.
Teach your children in the way they should go, and they want stray.

"Let's Teach Our Children How To Have a Personal Relationship With Jesus Christ"

Matthews chapter 19 -14 : Jesus Said, suffer the little children and forbid them not, to come unto me: for such is the kingdom of God.

Let's teach our children how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We can start at the age of three years old ,telling them the truth about Jesus and the gospel of Jesus Christ.Teach them how to know and depend on Jesus. If we start while they are young then when they are older, they will not stray way. We should teach our children,by reading bible to them at an early age. If we teach our children about Jesus and God, they will grow with the word of God; and when they are older they can't be mislead by false doctrines or the doctrines of men. If you are like me, you want your children to know Gods truth because they might not get that truth from the preacher in the pulpit, but we can stop them from getting the wrong information. If we start teaching them the truth from home, they'll be prepared when they go out in the world. We can start by teaching our children how to praise Jesus for the little things in their lives, so they'll continue to praise him for the big things in their lives.

We should also teach them, that life isn't always strawberries and whip cream, but we have to pray about the not so good times and ask God to help us get through them. Let's teach our children how to consult with God about all things in their young lives and they want falter down the road. Don't teach your children hate and envy, teach them the love of God. Children repeat what the parent do, they are imitators of what they see, and this is what they do. Parent if you're hating, cursing and complaining ; they will do the same, so replace the negative bad habits with giving God the praise and the glory and they will follow suit. Teaching children about God when they small isn't a problem, the problem arises when they're older and rebellious and think they know it all. Let's face it, we want our children to know Jesus and the true word of God, so we don't have to worry about their souls, when they leave this world behind. So, parents get on your job and do what we need to do, to make sure our children live godly and saved lives down here on earth.

Creative one, God Bless you sister, I so love this hub. Very good wisdom to share with parents. We can teach our kids right out of the gate. We need too!! They are never to young to start hearing. The seeds that are planted good or bad will take root. Our babies need to know they are OK with Jesus and He cares for and loves them.

The sad news is many parents have no clue who this Jesus is. My prayer is many more parents come to Jesus Christ and soon. Too many childern feel defeated and hopeless at a very young age.

My grandson 2 yrs old is praying to Jesus at mealtime, thanking Him during the daytime, when He is scared of something he knows to use the name of Jesus and has. Kids learn so young. We cant always protect them from what they might see on tv or in the world. We can sure give them the assurance Jesus is with them. Even at the tender age of two. Jayce gets frightened over monsters. Where did he see monsters? I guess on tv or at day care he heard about them.

I am so grateful to share the truth with the lttle ones. Thank You Lord. Keep going creative one. You will I know it. Phil 4:13 I just wrote a hub hope for our children. It is about teaching Jesus in the home. I am linking your hub from mine. So nice to visit with you creative one. You are a jewell. I love you. In Christ, Your sista, Skye

Big thumbs up girl. Shared linked out.

Good Hub! I agree, children learn by example and parents are the first they follow. Children need daily prayer time and bible time. They should go to church as a family regularly.

Your hub is right on time, for we are losing our children to a world of drugs and secular beliefs. I picked up on your title because I have been thinking on the same subject for the past weeks. Yes, thank you, it helped me, and gave me hope that we can do it...save our kids!

Thank you Matt, for you visit and your words of wisdom and your analogy, I totally agree with you. If our children don't get what they need from us, they are in big trouble without Jesus. Godspeed. creativeone59

      Dear creativeone59,

During our lifetime we are before the presence of children, our own or those of others. Like it or not we are the role models they have. We present good examples or bad ones by what we do. God has given us an opportunity to be His light in the world and Christ has shown us the way. Time is short and getting shorter as we grow older. If we don’t act responsibly how can we reasonably expect anyone else to? Do we really want to leave that responsibility to someone else when it comes to our children? If we really want the best for our children then let’s make an effort to give them the best we can… let’s give them Christ Jesus.

      “Blessings”

Thank you Jeepney for commenting on my hub. I to suffer with depression and even have a hub on depression and anxiety attacks, so I know what you go through. You can never write to much, I want you to express yourself at my hubs. Now, you must remember that we cannot do anything without the grace of God, and that means we can do all things through christ which strengtens us. I have God in my life, but I also went and got mental health and a presciption for medication that helped me. The first time the Dr. gave me medications, I threw it away. because I thought I could do it myself, but it didn't work and I realized, when you need help, you should get it so you can get better and get off of it after a while.

God bless you in your walk with God,and make sure you get help for your depression. Godspeed..creativeone59

Very good advise. I was taught from an early age about God from my grandma Minnie,i ventured at times, but the seed was always there. The catholic church says, "Give me the child for the first six years and that child will not waver from our teachings".

God bless you and your good work

Excellent hub, Creativeone59,when I look back on my life of sin, I have to admit, it was my early childhood study of the Word of God that helped me realize that something just wasn't right with what I was doing with my life.

      Thanks for this inspiring Hub

Hi Creativeone59 - I totally agree, God's word is full of wisdom and if our children were raised reading and having a relationship with Jesus we may not have the troubled young people of today. Great hub - many Blessings to you!
