Life After Death...What is the Truth?

There is a Heaven, and, There is a Hell...

Everyone finds the thought of heaven and going there after death a pleasantry. Peace, unconditional love, endless joy; absolutely wonderful!

On the flip side we would rather not believe there is a Hell. In fact it is uncomfortable to think that ones future could be in a dark, bleak, extremely hot place such as Hell is depicted to be.

From the beginning of time when the knowledge of both was revealed to mankind, there were those who chose to not believe. There are those today who yet hold the belief that one or the other simply could not exist.

"Nonsense!" they say. "Fairy tales", "Mere figments of warped imaginations!", they spout. Explanations all made in a desperate attempt to secure their eternity without having to consider a Heaven or a Hell.

But, the fact of the matter is, they both, Heaven and Hell do exist.

A study of near death experiences concluded that the dying experience is the same in every subject. All report a sensation of traveling. All report to seeing either a bright compelling light or a chasm of darkness. Some had the experience of encountering them both. All declaring they had no control over which source they were drawn toward. The light which radiated pure love and fulfillment or the dark which overwhelmed in its eternal emptiness.

Not So Rare An Experience

Nearly 12 to 15 million Americans have had the near death experience. The sheer numbers validate a need to study the phenomena. Scientists conclude that we all will have this experience.

It is determined that this experience is not contingent on a belief system, but is scientific fact. Whatever the cause of the experience, (meaning whether a person experiences trauma or age or sickness,) the experience is going to happen.

The Near Death Experience

This Hub consists of 10 segments of a single video entitled, "The Lazarus Phenomena". This video chronicles the near death experience of two men. These men could no be more different from one another. One is African, the other Australian. One is a Pastor, one is a "Free-Spirit". One is married and settled, the other is single and a world-traveler seeking adventure.

Two different men, two different paths in life, but one common experience and, one common result... a changed life.

I do hope and pray that you will enjoy your viewing and that your life will be affected as dramatically as theirs and mine was.

Hell Was Not Meant for YOU!

Hell was created to house the devil and his angels, not man. But, when man refuses God's free give of salvation, man, puts his or herself into Hell. God doesn't send us there, we send ourselves there.......

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John 3:17-19

There is a way to make Heaven your eternal home...Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Understand that we were born in sin and that Jesus broke the power of that sin over our lives. Only He can give us salvation. http://are-you-going.com/

Father I come to you recognizing that I am a sinner, (! Corinthians 3:23). I believe that Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Savior. (Romans 10:9-10). I receive you now and, according to our word, I am now saved. (Ephesians 2:8-9). Father fill me now with the Holy Spirit and with fire.(John 7:37-39 Thank you Lord, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Hi Leslie thank you so much for sharing this with nus. I cannot say that I have not had any experiences myself but I have a strong spiritual strength that believes in heaven 100%. Eleven years ago my sister Val passed over and last year my beautiful youngest daughter erin also passed over. It is my belief in heaven being a better place that has helped me cope!! I have a hub on here in memory of Erin and I believe that they have both found each other now.

Thank you so much for sharing this Leslie, I have only just come across you on here and I now look forward to reading more of your work. I am voting this one up.

Take care and God Bless you.

      Hi Bro Dave,

I used to be very adamant against any report of a person dying and returning. With the exception of Dr. Eby. Many years ago he wrote a book entitled, "Tell Them I'm Coming". This book was featured on credible Christian Televison programs which made me a little less skeptical.

I read that book some 20 odd years ago and there are two things that stood out to me, (1)Dr. Eby was in Lazarus tomb when he had his experience and,(2) He reported that in Heaven the flowers sing.

This seems to be a common report from those who say they have been to Heaven.

I still didn't believe very much and I certainly didn't believe anyone had been to Hell and back. Then I began to look at the various testimonies that are available to us today. One particular one got me. It was of the man who had no knowledge of the Lord.

When he died he saw the light and was being drawn toward it but simultaneously he saw and felt eternal darkness moving toward him. Just before the two eclipsed he cried out to Jesus and was sent back into his body.

As I am writing this, I am reminded of Luke 16:19-31,the account of the rich man and Lazarus. In this event the rich man pleads that someone tell his brothers of the torments of Hell desiring that they find a way of escape.

Abraham tells him...if they don't believe Moses and the prophets, they won't believe even if one rose from the dead and warned them.

Is it a hard thing for God to show people what heaven and Hell are like? After all if God is taking you and showing you, it must be for a reason.

The reports all line up with the descriptions in the Word of God. So, I am convinced and I am changed.

Everyone who has had the experience has remarkedly changed their lives. The continued similarity in the reports, the consistancy across cultures, races and beliefs really has convinced me and has forever altered my Christian walk. I will love better and witness more, my life has to be a testimony for the world to see the goodness of God so as many as possible can go to Heaven.

Hell is no place I want to see anyone go. I don't want to hear jokes about Hell, because people just don't get the seriousness of an eternity spent apart from God in such an awful place.

There are to my knowledge, three historical events where soneone has died, and returned to life.

I am certain that since them many have had near-death experiences, but none have been recorded first hand as a historical event, therefore they are treated as anything but.

      Brother Dave.

      Thanks Ecoggins

You are so right... Many will discount these testimonies. But like you, I know a hospice nurse who really should write a book about the things that she has witnessed at the time of death.

As you say people will choose to believe or not believe.

This is a very powerful hub. Undoubtedly, there will be many who will choose not to believe it, but it is very compelling. I took training in hospice chaplain work. The head nurse and an assistant told us numerous stories of patients who had similar experiences.
