Manna food for Tuesday September 14th
The concept of this series of hubs will be to produce a daily hub which delivers a spiritual message, using bible verse alone.
Verses used will be annotated for your Berean instincts to be verified, and for further contemplation if you desire.
Reading the word daily is an essential part of staying spiritually healthy, if you don't eat, you starve!
Speaking personally, I use the King James for study purposes, however I will be using the Amplified Bible for these hubs (mainly) unless it has significant contextual differences, for it's easier to read, and who knows, maybe somebody will read these who is not yet in faith!
This hub has a particularly great video with it, don't miss it!
I, even I, am He Who comforts you.
Who are you, that you should be afraid of man, who shall die, and of a son of man, who shall be made [as destructible] as grass?
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of sympathy (pity and mercy) and the God [Who is the Source] of every comfort (consolation and encouragement), who comforts (consoles and encourages) us in every trouble (calamity and affliction), so that we may also be able to comfort (console and encourage) those who are in any kind of trouble or distress, with the comfort (consolation and encouragement) with which we ourselves are comforted (consoled and encouraged) by God.
As a father loves and pities his children, so the Lord loves and pities those who fear Him [with reverence, worship, and awe].
For He knows our frame, He [earnestly] remembers and imprints [on His heart] that we are dust.
As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
)But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness and truth.
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever.
The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.
So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
