Morning Coffee with Jesus - October 13, 2011
Greetings loved ones!
Today’s “Morning Coffee with Jesus,” comes from Isaiah 43:1. “But now, this is what the LORD says— he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: ‘Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.’”
I grew up in a family as the youngest and the only girl. Often times I felt as if I was forgotten, especially when it came to school. I suppose by the time my parents were to child 4, all those programs and assemblies became tedious and boring.
Isn’t it nice to know that God sees us individually, irrespective of where we are in our faith journey? The scripture above says he has “summoned you by name.” He sees you and understands you. He knows what is in you, all your own feelings and thoughts, your likes, your dislikes, your strength and weaknesses.
God sees you in your time of rejoicing and in your time of sorrow. He sympathizes in your hopes and in your temptations; He interests himself in all the situations that cause you stress and those which enable you to rest. He is always with you, always caring about you, and always loves you more than you could ever love yourself. His compassion towards you never ends!
Even though I was the last of four children and my parents didn’t attend all my programs and assemblies at school, I was never without love! My parents made sure of that. I was well "loved on!"
Today, remember how much God loves you! Nothing you do will ever separate you from that love. Thank God for His love for you. I need to be reminded from time to time, too because I have a tendency to forget! Go “love on” someone today. Let them know you care and let them know they are important to you!
Have an awesome day in Jesus!
Stay sweet,
stay broken,
stay His!
Blessings,
E.
