Of One Accord For Revival In America

Pull up a seat and get comfortable. It may not last long for this writing is sure to make the comfort flee for some. Apology is not to be made for those that stir in their seats. By God's calling He calls us out of our comfort zone to make a bold stand for His Gospel. Therefore, in the words of Martin Luther,"I recant nothing, for to go against one's own conscience is neither safe nor right, therefore here I stand."

In 1 John 5:7 John 10:30 and 17:11 Jesus states how God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are one. They are of one accord and act in all ways as one. Their oneness is power, is truth, and their rule is sovereign.Yes it is a unique relationship, but, it is a relationship Jesus Himself taught in His ministry. This is the way we as Christians are to relate, in one accord!

ONE ACCORD

Philippians 2:2 fulfill my joy being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord of mind. Acts 2:46 So continuing daily with one accord. Jesus and the Apostles taught to be of one accord, we are to strive to relate to each other as Jesus did with His disciples. Do you want revival in the United States of America? How much are you willing to stand up and shout out," Thus saith the Lord God."

See I am naive enough to think that Christians falling on their knees seeking God in Holy, sorrowful,, emotional prayer we can turn America back to God. I never have read in the Bible that Jesus taught anything about we can only accomplish little things. People with Christ we can do all things. He is our comfort, He is our strength. Therefore we may have bold utterance in His True Holy Word.

See I have read a passage of scripture that says we can do it, we can bring America back. It talks about 120 people, that's all,120! In the early New Testament days just after Pentecost the disciples and the 120 began to grow the church. They preached day and night in the streets and homes. It led the leaders against them in Acts 17:6 to say,"These who have turned the world upside down have come here too." Wow, what a statement! How much I would love to hear that here in America. I would love to here people talking about us as Christian Americans turning The United States Of America upside down!

Jesus did not give us a spirit of fear but of power and truth. He gave us His Holy Spirit to lead us and give us utterance in the time we need to speak. My dear friends that time is now. By Jesus and through Jesus we can set this country ablaze with the power of God. One accord, one mind, one heart, all yearning to glorify Christ. With one accord, one heart, one mind we can take back America. How will you get involved? It may have to start in one small place like Bellefonte, Pa. ( see http:www.thegreatamericanfast.org ) but that is the start. We need to start as the apostles did in Jerusalem then Judea and Samaria and then to the uttermost. By ourselves we may falter and fail and yield to men but through God with others in one accord we will succeed. Jesus said, "Where 2 or 3 are gathered in My Name There I will be among them." He will sustain our need and give us power. He will give us the words to speak, He will give us boldness in that day. Then we boldly may proclaim there is no other name given among men whereby we may be saved than that of the name of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 6:19 Paul says the Spirit of Christ has given him the utterance that he may speak boldly," As I ought to speak." Paul boldly preached saying it was his duty to boldly speak. Friends that is our calling as born again bought by the blood children of God. When we think we do not have the words to speak we need to say," Here I am Lord Jesus, a vessel for your kingdom give the utterance and words in my heart that I may speak boldly concerning Your Word." Oh my dear friends come to the power of Jesus, give your life to Him to be a bold witness of His Holy Word.

In the early days of the New testament Church believers were of one accord. They worshiped together, they lived the same way they thought the same. They were of one accord. It is my most sincere opinion if we are to a see revival here in America we must be of one accord.

I recently read a posting on the top ten countries in the world that need revival. That need missionaries and preachers taking them the Gospel. To my amazement and shock The United States of America was in that ten. The country with a church on every corner, with street preaching constitutionally protected, A country with innumerable television and radio shows preaching the Word of God daily, teaching salvation through Jesus Christ. The following is but a few of the criteria that was listed.

1. A country of idol worship, America, check

2. A country with atheistic views, America, check

3. A country silencing the Word of God, America, check

4. A country of various false religions, America, check

This list had ten check points and America got a check mark on every topic, we need the Gospel preached in America. My friends we have our mission fields right here at home. We have many cities where we dare not trod for fear of our lives. They need the Gospel. They are a forgotten people, a people starving to hear of salvation through Christ Jesus. It is time we stand and show them the cross of Jesus. I spoke to a man in one of these areas. I was there to deliver a package one day and several deputies were there to take him away. The next day he was back, waiting for a package himself. As I approached him a penny was in the parking lot. I told him I needed a signature and while he signed I would pick up the penny. I said I could use it to feed children. He asked what I meant and I explained Tammy and I's ministry. He said he wished something like that was around when he was a child, if so he may not have been in the back of a squad car so many times. I met my friend Paul in one of those kind of areas. ( see my hub I have the colon cancer, pray for me) This is where we need to take and show the cross. This is where we need to stand up and proclaim,"Thus saith The Lord God." Christians of America, and I do not use that term lightly, it is time to take a stand. A stand for righteousness to return to our every day lives. To our schools. to our local governments and on up the line all the way to Washington D.C. It is time we stand and let the people hear our voices that we are not going to take it anymore. It is time we stand vigorously and proclaim with all boldness the Lord Jesus Christ.

Arm yourselves with the whole armor of God, and the greatest of these is the Sword of the Lord. The Sword God's Holy Word! Without the knowledge of the Sword of the Lord we will fail. Paul told Timothy to,"Study to show thyself approved a workman rightly dividing the Word of Truth." What will you do? Will you study? Will you stand? It is time and in that time Jesus said," I will never leave you or forsake you." The Bible clearly states as mentioned earlier the Spirit will give us utterance for the furtherance of the Gospel. In closing my friends may I say stand, study speak.

LET US PRAY

Oh God, I pray for the boldness of Peter and Paul. I pray God you give us the utterance of the Spirit of Christ to speak Your Truth. I pray God You give us the obedience of D. L. Moody and Charles Spurgeon to never stop speaking. I pray you give us a voice like George Whitfield, God that we will be heard for a mile. I pray Dear Holy God, you give us mercy when we fail, and grace when this warrior needs your comfort. In the name of Jesus Christ my Saviour, Amen!

I saw the first hand outpouring of,"Being of one accord," in the volunteer network of Samaritan's Purse. May 2013 I traveled to Shawnee, Oklahoma to help the victims of the massive tornados that destroyed Norman and Shawnee, Oklahoma. The destruction was great, the people were devastated. Through the love of Samaritan's Purse we were able to help restore the lives of thousands of people. Their spiritual lives took a great turn thanks to the volunteers who gave their time to help.
