Online Bible Verses - Psalm 90: 2-4 - Before the mountains were born
“Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.”
Psalm 90: 2 – 4
One interesting characteristic found within Psalms, the psalmist used a great deal of ink simply recognizing God. Just telling Him that He is great. One way, perhaps the ultimate way, of praising Him. There was a time when I found this a bit peculiar. Worship, in my mind, was still restricted to specific activity which took place within a particular building; and with particular people present. Maybe when you said grace before dinner, but I had fallen out of that habit after about 10 years old. Perhaps if I remembered to kneel down at my bedside at night and pray.
Came a point, long story short, when I found myself surrounded by people who prayed incessantly at multiple times during the day, praised God verbally at every opportunity, listened to Christian radio and so on. Movie choices were based on the WWJD rating. Christ had enveloped their lives.
What is with these people? Who greets their buddies with “Praise God”, or starts crying when they sing about Jesus? How did I end up here?
Well, God put me there. And I got used to those people. They taught me a lot. Most importantly, to make plenty of time for the Guy who provides me with air to breathe every day. Being that He has given me life, I should, probably, incorporate Him into it.
