Opal: An Introduction

Opal is an amazing gemstone that gives ultimate luxuries, marital bliss and glamour to its wearer. Like Ruby is the King of Gems, the great English poet Shakespeare called Opal the "Queen of Gems." It shows various colours which change when it is shifted against light. Its ultimate Fire, brilliance, luster, and play of colours surpass all other gemstones including even diamond, however it is much more economical than diamond. It strengthens the attributes of Venus in its wearer and subsequently fulfills life with luxuries, abundance, romance, beauty, glamour and marital bliss. This is an excellent gemstone for those connected with glamour industry like cinema, theater, advertising, media etc. Unlike Blue Sapphire and Diamond it has no significant side effects however it is always advisable to consult an astrologer before wearing a gemstone.

Who Should Wear Opal

Opal is the birthstone of Libra (Tula) and Tauras (Vrishabh) Sun signs, however astrologers can recommend it to the natives of other Sun signs as well depending on the placement and capacity of Venus (Shukra) in their horoscope. It is suitable for those natives who have a friendly but weak Venus in their horoscope.

Wearing Opal strengthens the positive traits of Venus in its wearer resulting into attainment of ultimate luxuries, glamours and marital bliss. It is therefore a charismatic gemstone for those related to industries like dance, music, media, cinema, arts, jewellery, advertising, fashion, beauty etc. If you are related to any of these industries and not getting the kind of exposure you deserve then probably you are reading the right article at right time. Since it strengthens the attributes of Venus, it is very useful for those natives also who are undergoing relationship problems with wives or friends of opposite sex. For those who are experiencing delay in marriage, Opal is the right gem. However it is imperative to say that like any other gemstone it should also be worn after proper consultation with an expert astrologer. If it suits you then, it will transform your life.

Medically it is said to improve the endocrine system and maintains the balance of hormonal secretions. It improves sexual health and marital bliss. It improves the whole urinary system and specially the kidneys.

What Type of Opal Should You Wear

For best astrological effects, Australian Opals are considered the best. For every 10 Kg of body weight one should wear 1 Carat of Opal. For an example a person of 60 Kg weight should wear an Opal of 6 Carats. The quality of Opal is determined on the basis of the play and vividness of its colours. The brighter and vivid play of its colours signifies the better quality of an Opal.

Substitutes of Opal

Although Opal is not as costly as its other counterparts but still if you have any problem in availing yourself of an Opal then you can use White Zircon or White Sapphire in its place.

The Procedure of Wearing Opal

It should be worn in Gold, Silver or Panchdhatu ring in the Index or Ring finger depending upon the recommendation of your astrologer. Right handed natives should wear it in the Ring Finger or Index Finger of their right hand. Left handed natives should wear it in the Ring Finger or Index Finger of their left hand. It should be worn on a Friday of Waxing Moon (Shukla Paksha) in the morning time before 12 PM.

How to Purchase an Authentic Opal

is always advisable to purchase an Opal from a leading vendor who can give you proper "Certificate of Authenticity."Meanwhile there are some leading Vendors who give you a money back guarantee for any authenticity related issues. So take utmost care about authenticity while purchasing an Opal. Usually the big and leading brands in the industry take proper care about the authenticity to maintain their reputation in the market.

If you are already wearing an Opal but it is not working

If you are already wearing an Opal and it is not working then as per my experience following may be the causes:

  1. Before wearing the Opal you did not consult an astrologer if it is meant for you.
  2. The Opal is not authentic.
  3. The most interesting and the foremost reason which I noticed many times is the presence of a toilet in the Southeast direction of the house of the native. Confused? But yes, this is true and this is because astrologically, Venus corresponds to Southeast direction. Having an infected Southeast corner in your house will not allow your Opal to work properly. On the one side Opal strengthens the positive traits of Venus in the native, and on the other side presence of a toilet in the direction of Venus weakens it.

So if your Opal is not working then do check the Southeast direction of your house and if you find any kind of impurity there, apply necessary corrections and remedies, and your opal will start working. Interesting or not ?
