Sexual - Soul Ties.

Updated on September 3, 2013

Soul Ties

A soul tie is an emotional or spiritual bond that is formed by family members, by association with other, especially friends.

A good example of soul ties is twins.

Their bond is so close that no matter the distance separating them, they feel each others pains and know when the other is in trouble or in danger.

Sexual soul ties are formed through sexual intimacy.

Let’s have a look at sexual soul ties.

Sexual soul ties are formed through intercourse. This is how God purposed intercourse to be. That a woman's desire would be to her husband. We are only supposed to be joined to the one person. It is the natural order of things. When God created man, He made Adam and Eve. He gave man a helper.

Please note; that is one helper.

Having more than one sexual partner was never God’s intention for man. He did not create Adam and Eve and When we see the problems and sins that came about throughout O.T. history when men had more than one wife, this becomes clear.

A man is intended to be a virgin when he takes a wife, as is the woman. When this happens, there is no comparison and therefore, no lust or desire to pursue others as both parties is satisfied with what they have. When a man and a woman have intercourse, a blood covenant is formed. A covenant blood covenant is the most binding of all covenants and is made by the shedding of blood to seal the covenant, punishable by death when broken.

When a man and a woman come together as virgins, there is a shedding of blood as the hymen is broken. The shedding of blood brings the marriage covenant into effect. when someone loses his or her virginity outside of marriage, this brings a different covenant into effect

Hos 4:6: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

This was God’s plan for marriage from the first man Adam – also for His people. We see different examples of the covenant in the old and then the NT covenant in the blood of Jesus.

Deu 22:28 If a man find a damsel [that is] a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; 29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty [shekels] of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

When a man and a woman join in intercourse, the word of God say’s they become one – spiritually.

Mat 19:4-6 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made [them] at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain (two) shall be one flesh? 6 Wherefore they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder (aside).

There is a spiritual binding of the souls that unite them as one. This means that if a person sleeps with more than one partner, they are binding themselves not only to the person they are sleeping with, but all that person's sexual partners.

The more promiscuous that person becomes, the more people you have soul ties with. This brings about the spiritual condition called “A Scattered Souls”.

This raises another issue:

The transference of spirits, but we will deal with that in another article.

If every person you sleep with has ten partners, and each of them has ten partners, and each of them has ten partners; can you see where this is going?

If you have fallen short in this area of your life, there is a way to get back on track with the word of God. Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

And: Rom 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

God in His wisdom has made provision for our failings:

1Jo 1:8-9 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us and, 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

  1. Pray and ask God to forgive you for your sin.
  2. Ask Him to break all ungodly soul ties, sexual or otherwise
  3. Ask the Lord to show you how to stay in His word, to lead you by His Spirit.
  4. Ask for the Spirit of truth to rule in your heart.

1 Jo 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us:

It is God’s will for us to live according to God’s standards.
