Short Christian Film - How to Pray to God and The Power of Prayer

This is the short Christian film about how to pray. Maybe you say to yourself: I know how to pray, why should I watch this film? Yes, I agree and I know you do. But the tough question: is it our pray got its answer? Have you ever feel that God is so far away. In fact, many pray did not got its answer. Do we blame God about it? Why it happen? Many people frustrated while waiting the answer. As Christian, praying is the breath of our spiritual life. I found the secret of praying and deep understanding after watching this short film. I am not a bible scholar who will teach you theory of how to pray. I am just ordinary Christian who would like to share how this film changes my prayer perspectives. The film is the third part of Three Parables-2 directed by Vitaly Lyubetsky. The first parable is “Vigil Lamp”, second is “A Shirt”, and the third is “Three of you, and Three of Us” (The Power of the Prayer). I have searched in internet the first and second parable, but did not found yet. Maybe if you found it, share it with us so we can learn together.

This short Christian film inspired by the preaching of Abbot Archimandrite Pavel Gruzdev: “You are Three, We are Three...” He lived in the 20 century in the Province of Yaroslav, Russia. The theme of the film: The power of the prayer it’s not in the words, but in its purity. The power of the prayer lies in quality and not quantity. Where is told from the heart there are the angels, and where is told with proud there is emptiness.

In this short Christian film, Abbot Archimandrite Pavel Gruzdev preaches was:

My dear, please, pray.

As the birds are unable to survive without wings, so we are without prayers.

It is desired to start the morning with: “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit”.

At least once a day try to do the sign of the Cross.

At lunch time sat the Lord’s Prayer.

But if you forgotten it then a short “God bless” from all of your heart will be welcomed.

Finish the day with “Glory to God” and thank Him for everything before going to bed.

And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.

Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
