The Occult: A Delicious Deception Into Darkness

Updated on August 28, 2012

In The Beginning-Paganism

The occult is separate from our world. The members live in a mysterious universe facilitated by the master of lies in an attempt to give mankind meaning apart from the Creator, God Almighty. To some extent the master of lies has been successful and has gained a large following of souls which he holds as trophies. This delicious deception started in the Garden of Eden when the serpent (aka: master of lies) knew of Adam and Eve. He knew what they were seeking since he created the same illusion with the fallen angels. Man loves power, in fact, much of the world is drunk on power with the insatiable thirst it causes, it creates a deep desire for more.

The serpent knew this and appealed to Eve’s desire to become like God and as a result both man and woman took of the forbidden fruit. God does not impose obedience to Him, instead he gives every person the opportunity to choose Him or not. Unfortunately, man chose himself and so the fall of man occurred.

The Occult-Witchcraft and Wicca

Of course, most people will not openly invite evil into their life and do not want to defile themselves or God and that’s why paganism has abounded in recent times. These beliefs are centered on the universe, our earth and the elements, Mother Nature, the stars and moon. Pagans worship the perceived power given to them by the universe through the use of spells, magic, rituals and mediums. This paganism is a very broad category and encompasses a general belief: a belief against anything that has to do with God.

As we move down this wide path of darkness we come across the practice of Witchcraft and Wicca. We can see practitioners engaging in specific spells using elements found in nature to prevent, sustain or increase power and influence over people or situation. Some spells will help a lonely person find love, a furious person seek revenge, a person asking the universe for protection. The demons dance and laugh as practitioners engage in these rituals over and over again. Some of God’s enemies are even given permission to fulfill requests made by practitioners. The power is intoxicating when the spells work and the rituals produce results.

Satanism

Continuing on our journey the path becomes so dark that your hand disappears amidst the shadows. All you can hear are voices chanting, demons laughing and people screaming in horror and disbelief. As you move closer flickering lights are in the distant and what appear to be animals being sacrificed to Satan himself. These people are completely blind to the devastation to their soul. These people are the Evil one’s closest friends and some have seen his hideous face, opening their eyes to the truth. Many others prepare and sacrifice animals, some even children in the name of the Master of Lies. They have been told they will rule the underworld and will have great power on earth. What they don’t know is destruction waits patiently for the right time to harvest.

If we move any closer we enter the gates of Hell itself, but we leave the blind where they want to be left and start heading back towards the light. The occult is a slippery slope to blindness with even the most malignant forms generating evil. You see, the evil one knows that man wants to be accepted by God and live peaceably. He steers the blind and stumbling into a world of perceived acceptance with him. Be aware and open your eyes!

Source

Don’t be fooled about our universe and nature. Even the furthest star 10 billion light years away is within reach at the speed of a twinkling of an eye for the Creator. Hostility quietly steers the masses into the pit of eternal separation without any hope of rectification. Hope is truly the only power we have over our circumstances on this earth. When we die we take nothing, and in many cases even our memories will remain with those we knew. Let this be a warning to take the blindfold off your eyes and look at the world for what it is, fallen but magnificently created in the image of God.

All matter is made of energy; energy is made of information; and information is alive. Ergo, "Reality" is Consciousness (aka "God")—by virtue of a personal Consciousness (aka "Christ") a direct link is established between MAN & GOD. The History of Man is the Story of Man Remembering His True Identity. And until he looses his forgetfulness, his own Soul will be hidden as if in a Cloud—it is... Occult.

After reading this, I'm reminded of how reaffirming the statement Jesus made in Matthew 7:13...

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to everlasting life and only a few find it."

"I'm not naive to the ways of Paganism" - It sort of shows that You are naive on this topic, when You make generalizations about pagans.

As You can well see, every pagan that has read this article has stated that there are major assumptions and/or misconceptions in this article. You do not have to take this personal. Just like I am not taking personal comments such as: "The power is intoxicating when the spells work and the rituals produce results".

How many spells have You cast to say that they are intoxicating? How much sorcery work have You done, to speak of how rituals affect people? I am just curious. Your writing here, has a feeling of "I know what I am saying" yet, it is riddled with errors or generalizations - that is the problem.

In the end, You got angry with OldWitchcraft and had to promote your Christian belief as the only truth ... pushy-pushy is not going to make anyone convert lol

Take it easy Amigo and try to be more specific if You are going to write about specifics. Don't just muddle things up, insulting people's beliefs due to some misunderstanding.

    Cheers!

@OldWitchcraft- I am not naive to the practices and rituals by you and your fellow believers. Remain in blindness if you dare but one day EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue will confess Christ is Lord. Even the demons know this and shutter.

I don't find your style problematic, but I do find your unsubstantiated and fanciful lies highly objectionable. I am a witch and a Satanist. I don't like liars and hypocrites.

@OldWitchcraft- I'm not naive to the ways of Paganism and the beliefs/practices and this style of writing is fairly bold and new for me if you've read any of my other work. Thank you for stopping by and commenting

Independent research outside of religious fantasy (like The Bible) is a good thing. There are lots of good resources online. Just start somewhere.

What you are doing here is spreading dangerous lies about innocent people - a popular Christian hobby, apparently.

Correction to my previous comment - it's not occultism in the U.S. (that's what I write about quite a lot) - however, it appears to be about modern occultism. You mention Wicca, Witchcraft and Satanism. Clearly, you're not talking about ancient enemies of the Jews in the Old Testament.

"The Ammonites practiced these types of rituals, sacrificing children to the ancient god Molech." That may be, but your article says its about occultism in the U.S. and in this part is making reference to Satanism. You say these sacrifices are made to "Satan himself." It's patently ridiculous and ignorant - it's, also, dangerous when ignorant people believe such things. There is no god and there is no Satan - but, clearly there is a lot of evil lurking in the mind of Christians.

Why do you sound shocked? The Ammonites practiced these types of rituals, sacrificing children to the ancient god Molech.

"Many others prepare and sacrifice animals, some even children in the name of the Master of Lies." Wow!

And, this is what I've been talking about... Remember, the author of this article could be your neighbor - especially if you're surrounded by a lot of Republicans.

Your point about Satanism is fascinating. If Christians gave it that name, what name should it be called?

Thank you for the critique. This is a very different style of writing for me and was doing some experimentation.

You really should do your research before you write. As Mr. Happy and ThompsonPen have stated, paganism has nothing to do with walking the path opposite the christian god. There is no belief in a "hell" either, simply an underworld where ALL the dead go.

This is why prejudice exists in our society, because people make rash judgements about things they know nothing about simply because they fear them or they don't conform to their current belief system.

"This paganism is a very broad category and encompasses a general belief: a belief against anything that has to do with God." - I am not sure what paganism that is because from what I know, pagans pray to a variety of Gods thus, there is no "against God" thing going on ... I am pagan by the way.

"As we move down this wide path of darkness we come across the practice of Witchcraft " - lol This sounds like a Disney fairy tale - when is the big bad witch with the pointy nose coming out on her broom, to eat some children? Now, to be perfectly serious sorcery is like anything else. Take a gun for example: You can go hunting with it to get some food, or You can blow your neighbour's brains out - it's what You do with it, the intent is what matters.

"The occult is a slippery slope to blindness" - Lovely when we make generalizations without being fully informed and we dump everyone in the same muddy waters ...

I think that You indulge in Fear a little but that is just my opinion. I wish You well.

May Wakan Tanka guide your path!

Actually, true Satanism is about finding inner strength and inner belief, the belief that a person can do anything they need to without outside reliance, that each person is their own deity. This was given the name of Satanism by Christians because it was not of their faith, and so their logical conclusion was that it must have been of Satan. If you're not with God, you're against him.

Paganism, having been pagan for nearly 15 years, has nothing to do with any disrespect or walking the path opposite of the Christian God, but of worshiping nature and the Universe. Paganism is about having multiple deities to which they turn, in some regards could be seen as the many different aspects of God.

Kabbala could technically be classified as Pagan, since practice of the deeper Kabbalistic occult calls upon archangels and the different names of God.

The word Occult has nothing dark about it, it simply means Secret. Horus was an Egyptian god, and he started the ancient schools of Occult, which at the time were science, writing and math. Thus was similar for many areas of the world. These were the ancient tools that saw into the Universe and gave answers, and still is. The difference, is that these tools are taught publicly these days, and thus are no longer occult.

However, I love your title. Rolls off the tongue nicely :)

You have a very nice writing style, and I enjoy your word choice and your voice, even if I don't agree with the content :)
