There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven : a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot , a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build , a time to weep and a time to laugh , a time to morn and a time to dance , a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to keep and a time to throw away , a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

What does the worker gain from his toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on men. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1 -11

Time is a friend. There is a time for everything,a time for every activity under the sun. Time is our friend because it gives us opportunity to accomplish something great in life. It gives us opportunity to do good for our fellowmen. It gives us opportunity to fulfill God’s purposes for our life. Each day time is equally given to all. Each of us has twenty four hours a day. It depends to us how are we going to make the most of our time. We have to invest our time in wisdom. We are to ask whether our use of time will bring glory to God or will bring disgrace to our name.

Many have spent their time carelessly by engaging their time with fruitless works of darkness. But time is gold, as Christians we value time as gift from God and should be spent in fulfilling God’s purposes for our lives..

Time makes everything beautiful. Every activity under the sun is beautiful when done on its perfect timing. There is a time to be born. When is the best time to be born ? Time to be born is beautiful when the parents are prepared to enter parenthood. But when the parents are not ready for responsible parenthood, it is not good timing for their child to be born.

There is a time to die. The best time to die is when you have fulfilled all God’s missions for your life. It is not dependent on whether you are young or old. Death will only be pleasant for a person when he/she was able to fulfill all of God’s purposes for his/her life. One may die at 30, 50, 70 or 80. Jesus died only at a very young age of 33, but his mission was accomplished. A person of 80 years of age may not yet be ready to die because he has not yet accomplished God’s mission for him.

There is a time to plant. Time to plant refers to the season in life when we are establishing the foundation of our life, like studying and preparing for career life. While we are students, we should make the most of this opportunity, we should strive hard to finish our studies. While studying we should not mingle with it other affairs of life. We should be concentrated in accomplishing our goal., to finish our studies. We must do our best in establishing the foundation of life to be a productive and capable citizen of our nation.

There is a time to uproot. We have to uproot from our lives ungodly traits and philosophies that the world implanted upon us. There is a time to kill. There is a time to kill the evil thoughts and deeds that are inside us. We have to kill the selfish ambitions residing in our hearts. There is also a time for healing . No matter how much have you been hurted by the circumstances of life, a time of healing will also come to you. There is always time for healing for a wounded heart.

There is a time to tear down. There is a time to tear down ungodly strongholds in your heart. And there is a time to build broken dreams, broken relationships and fellowships.

There is a time for weeping and mourning. When this time come, you have to let the tears fall down from your eyes . When there is so much hurting inside of you, its beautiful to weep. Because you let go of the toxins. To let go off your tears is to give your body relaxation.

There is a time for laughter. Don’t quench the joy in your heart when there is a season of rejoicing. During the happy seasons of life, don’t hinder yourself from rejoicing. These are all parts of life. There is a time to dance especially to the Lord . A time to embrace, a time to part. To stop from embracing. A time to search especially for knowledge and truth., and a time to stop searching. There is a time to keep especially good relationship , things and good memories. And there is a time to throw away even relationships and memories particularly if they are ungodly and if they destroy our spirituality.

There is a time to be silent, to refrain from talking. Sometimes it could be the best message to a hurting heart. Thers is also a time to speak to refrain from silence especially when it requires speaking for the truth. There is a time to love. Time must be set aside for loving your family, your friends, the unlovable ones even your enemies. There is a time for hating. Hating injustices, wickedness, evil and lewdness. There is a time for war especially when waging war against corruption, oppression, povery, violence, violation of human rights. And there is a time for peace, particularly when reconciling to a long time mortal enemy.

Everything is beautiful when it is done in God’s perfect timing. Even a great marriage happens in God’s perfect timing. We should never hurry but we should learn to wait upon the Lord or time will be our enemy. We should constantly seek God’s leading in everything we do. We should always seek God’s timing in everything we do for God makes everything beautiful in its own time. God’s timing will be just perfect. Let us constantly trust His infinite wisdom, though we have been waiting for years. He will allow everything to happen just on time, it will never be too early or too late.

A new year is about to enter, it is about time to uproot, to tear down, to kill unfruitful works of darkness in our lives. It is about time to leave every sin that entagles and set our focus on fulfilling God’s purposes for our lives so when our time of death comes it will really be indeed a perfect timing of God.
