To The Broken Hearted

The lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as a contrite spirit. ~Psalms 34:18~

He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds ~Psalms 147:3~

A broken heart is never an easy thing to deal with. A broken heart can leave you confused, afraid, and hurt. The pain caused by a broken heart can drain you both, mentally, physically, and emotionally. It's not good enough to hear someone say, "you'll get over it" or "this to shall pass", and "time heals all wounds". What you want is immediate relief from the pain. Pain has an crippling affect. It demobilizes you through fear. Pain can keep you from living. It is the fear that we have to be mindful of, because it has a tendency to control us.

So, how do we get over a broken heart? We pray. We get up; we keep moving, and realize that we are not alone. It's in times like these we have to realize that God is near us. He promises to never leave or forsake us. Get up, Get moving, and fight that spirit of fear that wants to grab hold of you. Jesus loves you. I know that we are human and sometimes the human touch is what we need, but when you look around and think that you are alone, realize that you're not. God loves you. He needs you. The situation that you're in may seem hopeless, that's okay, give it to Jesus. He knows and he cares. In spite of what you're going through, He's still in control. Behind that pain, there's a purpose. Get up and live.
