Will God answer our prayers?

Does God answer our prayers?

Welcome to my article (25), Does God answer our prayers?

May God guide and help me to say the right things in these religious articles?

Dear readers, today I am asking myself, “does God answer our prayers”, you see, I am praying God many times, when I feel low; because things are going the wrong way, in the hope that God will hear my prayer and help me. But nothing seems to happen after my prayer, it is as if God is not there, or I am not worth to pray God and be answered, so, I wonder what to think about it.

Now let me explain my position; I am a believer, I believe in God and pray God. I believe also that all religions come from God, but people have different views of God and this becomes a problem, for this reason, I have written many religious articles and prayers, which I have published in Hub Pages and in other public sites. Now, even though I am a believer, I have to say that sometimes we all have our doubts during our lives; one of these doubts is about the existence of God, even though I am a believer, another one is about if God answers our prayers. I must add here again that I believe in God, even if the God I believe in, could be a bit different from the God that most of us Christians believe in, now next question is, does God answer our prayers, when we pray?

You see, I am praying God. I am praying God every day of my life, I pray God with our Christian traditional prayers, like the sign of the cross followed by The Lord prayer, and then other prayers; I pray God also with my own prayers that I have written, I pray God and hope that God hears my prayer and answers my prayer by granting my earthly request, which I have asked during my prayer. I have written several prayers in these religious writings and one of them is written here under; now the question is. Does God or will God answer my prayers?

Let me explain how I see the situation here, today we are asking God to help us with simple things, we are not like the Jews that wanted Yahweh their God to help them, so that they could reclaim their Promised Land that they had left when they went to Egypt; and for the same reason, we are not like the Muslim people that want their God Allah to help them conquer the entire world; as we can see in the news every day recently. You see, we are only praying God to help us in our daily struggle and health issues. You see, we imagine our God to be a benevolent God that would help anybody that turns to him and prays; so, all we need for that is a benevolent God and we pray to this benevolent God. So, let me write a prayer that I would pray after the traditional prayers that everybody usually prays.

Praying God

God our father, with my personal concerns I come to you praying God-Most-High, I am praying thee for forgiveness of my sins and reconciliation to thy spiritual eternal life force, I am praying in the hope that I would become worthy to pray to you and my prayer would be heard and accepted, I am praying in the hope that you would hear my prayer for help and help me and my family overcome these family illnesses that never seem to end; Father, hear my prayers and help us, amen.

I have prayed God, so many times already, but God seems to ignore my prayers and my family problem go on and on, and they never seem to end. So, I start thinking that it is very unlikely that God answers our prayers, I cannot think of any other excuse and I have reasons to believe that I should be worthy in God’s eyes, because I pray and even write religious issues the best way I can. Okay there might be an issue because I do not go to church on Sundays, as most people do and believe they should. But I don’t go to church on Sundays, because I am not able to go, because of this illness in my family, so, I must stay put at home. Sometimes I think, if God wanted me to go to church on Sunday, then God should have made it easier for me to go to church, I cannot think of any other excuse.

Dear readers, in my case, perhaps I need to be more patient and refrain to criticize God, since it seems risky to criticize God, as we all know God is God and we are supposed to accept anything at all from God even if it makes us suffer, because there might be other reasons why it is so. But I believe that if we pray God, then we should deserve to be heard and answered from God, otherwise why should we always pray and believe, and then accept whatever it comes to us and believe that it is God’s will, here I would like to ask our readers?

I have to say that in my mind, heart and soul there is this understanding that goes on like this; if there is really a God like a person, as we have been taught to believe in, then this God being our Father should listen to his own children, and so, God should hear and answer our prayers according to what we deserve, otherwise soon or later we will not believe in God anymore. So, we come back to our first question; will God answer our prayers? This is what we will most times wonder about, while we continue to look for an answer.

Monster of the end of the world

The monster with seven heads that is written about at the end of the Bible in Revelation. But perhaps the world will end with a war that we the people of this planet are going to fight.

Looking for an answer to our prayers

There are days in our lives, when lots of things go the wrong way, but nothing is more frustrating than when somebody is sick for a long time, whether it is oneself or a member of our family. When these sick family members are sick, it is very hard for us all. We take them to the doctors, but even to doctors don’t seem to find a way to make them well, so, we start to despair, then the only thing that is left for us to do then, is turn to God and pray. So, we pray God with all the strength that is in our heart, and we believe that if we do that and have faith in God, then, God may indeed answer our prayers. This is what we usually do, we pray God with great faith and hope that God will answer our prayer, one way or another.

Now, as we have said, when we need help from God, we pray God with all our faith, but, will God answer our prayers, or does God answer our prayers? Yes, that is my question, does God answer our prayers? Yes, you have read it right the first time and I will repeat it here again just to make sure that you understand what I mean, does God answer our prayers?

I am asking this question again and again, because it is my despair that makes me do that, or perhaps I would like to know if there is anyone at all, who may have proof or at least really feels that God answers our prayers in any possible way, if there is anybody let him speak out, since I would like to know what other people think and do, and how they pray.

You see, I don’t know any more what to believe today, I have prayed to God for a long time for help, but God seems to ignore my prayers completely. Not only I have prayed God many times every day of my life, but I have also written many blogs and Hubs about religions, in the hope that by explaining religions as it is in my heart, God would receive them as my prayers.

I know that what I have written, it might happen to be a bit different from the main religious stream, but I have done this in the hope that it may help religions to survive in the future, so, I feel that whatever I write in these religious writings, it is like praying God all the time; but God does not seem to take any notice of that either. Perhaps God has more important things on his mind, because people believe and do different things all the time, like the following issues that go around today.

So, let us see what is happening today in the world, that would keep God busy and forget about my personal prayers, because some people believe about the end of the world, perhaps as it is written at the end of the Bible, or in some different ways. This brink more questions to my mind; as we have heard many times before and even today that there is going to be the end of the world soon; this time we even have a date, so, I ask you this: Do you believe that it could really happen this time and the end of the world will be the 21st of December 2012 as forecast? Is this event really going to happen? What is your answer to what I have just asked? My guess is that we just don’t know. Perhaps it is a bit like asking, if God answers our prayers.

So, I am going to say here what my heart and soul tells me, I believe that there is no end of the world on the 21st December 2012, it cannot be I don’t see even the signs that other people claim to see, the only thing I see is that religions need to be modified and that is not the end of the world ether; you see, if religions are modified then it marks the end of some religious things, and therefore the beginning of something else, so, we can say one day that a new system has arrived and the old system has ended, that is the only end that I can see today. Anyhow today while I am editing this article the 21st December 2012 has past and nothing has happened, so, the world has not ended. Thanks God it was a false alarm.

Prayers and observations

While I am writing this hub, I often pray God about my personal problems, I pray God with great faith, hoping that my prayers will be answered, and so, I pray God thus:

My Lord God, Almighty and merciful Father, I pray you with all my heart, my soul and my mind, hoping that in your mercy, you would forgive me all my life sins and make me clean of any impurities that may affect my soul, so that, I would become spiritually clean and worthy to pray and my prayer could be heard and answered. Today I am praying because there is sickness in my family, and this sickness worries me and the rest of my family, therefore, I am praying here with all my heart, my soul and my mind, hoping that in your mercy, you would hear my prayer and help me.

Now, this is not the only prayer that I pray to God, because I pray many other prayers, in the hope that God would hear my prayers and help us.

But, even though I have prayed God many times and with many prayers, God does not seem to answer my prayers; but I continue to pray God. So, even when God does not answer our prayer we still pray God. It is like having to do the last possible thing that could help to solve our problems that we have, and thus we continue to pray.

When we need help pray our God

Whenever we have some personal problems or any other problem most of us will turn to God and pray for help and guidance, in the hope that God will answer our prayers by granting our earthly requests.
Whenever we have some personal problems or any other problem most of us will turn to God and pray for help and guidance, in the hope that God will answer our prayers by granting our earthly requests.

Praying God for an answer

Now let me go back to what I was saying, as I have said I have been praying God for an answer to my personal prayers, for this reason I have been also writing my theory of Reconciliation of the Universe, which I am also calling Prayers for Reconciliation, not only because there are many prayers written in it, but also because it is my personal prayer to God Most High, in the hope that God hears my prayers and answers my personal requests in a positive way. But I have to say that up to today God has not answered my prayers, and there is sickness in my family that worries me; this sickness or illness sometimes I am afraid that is becoming worse, and for this reason I am praying again and I will continue to pray, because at least I feel that I have done something that could help. You see, I need at least some hope, and as you know God is hope for those that need hope most; so, I continue to pray God, and therefore I ask:

I ask you this, when will God answer my prayer?

Am I not worthy to be heard from God about what I need?

What is God waiting for, to answer my request?

Is it not enough the religious writings I have written and all the prayers that I've prayed?

To prove to you my dear readers that I have written already in Hub Pages many religious hubs, which I believe that they should be counted also as prayers to God, I am going to make a shortened list of these hubs hereunder including the links for you to check them out, so that you can judge me if you will, according to what I have written, of course there are also my religious posts in Blogger: http://manneedsgod.blogspot.com,

http://menfranco-re.blogspot.com/,

And I am publishing this, http://manneedsgod.co.uk

I believe that all these religious writings should be counted as prayers to God Most-High. Anyhow even if God does not seem to answer my prayer, I will still pray God in the hope that one-day God will answer my prayers and grant my earthly requests.

Dear readers, we do all this praying and other thing, because man needs God and because, God is hope for those who need hope most, it is for this reason that we pray, even knowing that God may not answer our prayers, or will answer them in its own time and in its own ways.

In search of ourselves religiously

We live in this corner of the universe, where we believe God lives as the master of the universe. We are in search of ourselves religiously, in the hope of finding God's way and hoping that God hears our prayers.

Dear readers, I hope you have had time to read some of our articles, so that you could see what we mean and comment on them, or at least comment on our first question; Will God answer our prayer? Anyhow, I will continue to Pray and write my religious articles, even knowing that God might not answer my prayers. Because God is hope for does that need hope most, then it is also the possibility that God will answer my prayer, in its own time and in its own ways, we need to believe that, it is the best way to live our lives. There is this peace in our heart when we pray.

Anyhow, with this hub we conclude part one of, Prayers for reconciliation, we will start part 2 right away and we might call it Prayers and discussions, just to give it a different name, of course part three will be called, Reconciliation of the universe. See you soon on part 2.

May God bless us all?

Thanks for your comment mountainmike1, I understand what you mean, but what about if I am praying for one of my family members, do you have any ideas how could it work?

I think personally yes as long as you pray to god without any other thoughts outside of your own being. Praying for world peace or something I do believe is not effective because it's outside of one's being.

Thank you, lone77star, for taking the time to comment on my hub, perhaps you might be right about me having sometimes doubts, in fact I know that I have doubts about how people use the present religious system, because that is one of the reasons why I have started to write religious articles in blogger and Hub Pages, and even though I have never been trained to be a writer, in my mind eyes I had reasons to believe that if religions were slightly different, then religions could not be used to cause so much harm to humanity, as it happened 10 years ago when that distant disaster of 9-11 took place; so I have to agree that you are right I have my doubts, because I do not agree with everything religious leaders want us to believe. I hope you see what I mean?

Thanks, Dave Mathews, for taking the time to comment on my hub, I know about the Lord’s prayers, because that is the greatest prayer ever written and known, so any religious person should know that prayer, and I have to say that I pray the Lord’s Prayer every day.

Thanks to you too, Micheal Tandoc, for commenting on my hub saying that God answers our prayers. It comes in mysterious ways. I know and I have even written two hubs about that, if you like you can read one of these by clicking on this link herewith: God works in a mysterious way, Hub 20

Thanks to you all, Frank Menchise

Frank: Indeed Our Father Almighty God hears and answers all prayer, but I believe that there is a part of a prayer known as: "The Lord's Prayer" that you are forgetting about. "Thy will be done," when God answers a prayer, if it is not within God's will to grant the request as it is asked, then God knowing past, present, and future, does what in God's infinite wisdom and knowledge is the very best according to God's will. It does not always co-incide with our request, but it is definitely what is best for us.

Frank, thank you for sharing your anguish.

Is it not written, ask and you will receive?

Oh, ye of little faith. Rise up this moment and throw off your chains of doubt. It is you who is stopping the healing from taking place.

When you ask in uncertainty, you get uncertainty. When you ask in doubt, you get more of the same. The time for that is at an end. Your confidence -- your faith -- must be without blemish.

Picture your loved one in full health. Give that to God without any shred of doubt. Then turn to your loved one and tell them that they are healed. Your answer from God will be affirmative and instantaneous.
