How do you feel Wicca philosophies fit into the modern world?
To be honest I really don't know, I do know that it is a rapidity growning group people declaring to be Pagan/Wiccian's and Witches, {especially in the U.K. and Europe}
And I do know that my family and friends which are Christians and Atheist {my oldest daughter} have accepted me as I am
And most people don't know that God is just a deity much like our Gods and Goddess are deity's some thing to worship, pay homage to.
I think a lot of people has lost their faith in God. So they are turning back to the roots of Christianity'.
Which are the pagans{which is an umbrella term for for Wiccians and Witches.
But what they don't know is Pagan means farmer, keeper of the lands, the earth,water animals anyone who is saying that "They want to go Green" are actually practicing Paganism. Trying to preserve the earth and use less carbons.
So I'd say quite a lot of Wicca an Paganism philosophies already has fit in the modern would, Some people just havent really sat down and listened or stopped and smelled the rose's
"PROUD TO BE A PAGAN"
Most pagans are earth-friendly. And with todays energy concerns, it would be considered a good thing. And of course I would have to agree with the majority of what Dolphin posted as well.
The majority of pagans I know are also very community minded. And do a great many things in support of their local community as a whole.

Hi! I'd love to meet fellow Pagans and Witches on Hubpages. Share with me your beliefs and pantheon, if any. Your favorite holiday/Sabbat? Any other encouraging thoughts or words of love to share? I am an eclectic solitary witch, looking to meet and commune with other open-minded and loving Pagans...

Can you still be a Pagan if you don't do magick?I feel I identify with the main ideas of Pagan religions (nature, Gods and Goddesses, etc), but I have yet to feel compelled to try and do magick to influence anything. I don't think it is wrong, but am I not really a Pagan if I don't try magick?

Read the Upanishads and then compare them to modern mathematics then compare Buddhism to quantum physics. They are the exact same thing, just as our mind is the universe and vice versa. People should study what they are aguing about before they attack eachother for their beliefs and philosophies,...
