It is a good thing for us that God does not judge in the same way that humans do. People look at the outside appearance or we sum up a person by what we might think is a person's qualification's. God looks at the heart. He evaluates our inner disposition and character.
Too many times we look at the outward appearance and make our conclusion. People might be judged by others because of the way they dress. Maybe we think the other person's hair is too short or too long, not cut right in the front or cut right in the back. One person is too big the other may be too small. Too many body piercing's, wrong color of finger nail polish, too many tattoo's. One person lives in a nice rich looking neighborhood another lives in a shack that looks like it is barely standing on it's foundation. Now, that's an interesting thought...foundation.
What do we base these judgments on. What foundation do we have that gives us that authority?
Who died and made us God? What is important and meaningful to a person should not be what we see on the outside.
In a closet hangs a sweater.It's hardly ever even taken out of the closet any more. Now the sleeves are too short, some of the buttons are gone, and the thread is frazzled and it should probably be removed and thrown away. But, love says different. It's the creation of a loving mother for her child. The sweater may have lost it's use but not it's value.
That must have been what the psalmist had in mind when he wrote. "You knit me together in my mother's womb. You are wonderfully made".
You were knitted together. You are not an accident. You were deliberately planned, specifically gifted and lovingly positioned on this earth by the Master Craftsman.
Just as everyone on this earth has been. We were put here for a reason and we all have a purpose. To love and to be loved. Not to judge.
God created us all and no matter how we look or how old we get, to God we never lose our value. There should never be a thought that goes through our mind that says someone is no longer of any use or good. People make wrong decision's in life sometimes that are costly and maybe the decision they made was not in God's plan. That doesn't mean God thinks any less of that person. He continues watching and loving that person no matter what. God didn't make throw away people.
God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us to do good works, that God planned in advance for us to live our lives doing.{Ephesians 2:10}
In a society that has little room for second fiddles, that's good news. In a system that ranks the value of a person by looks or riches... Jesus' plan is a reason for joy! Jesus told John that a new kingdom was coming-a kingdom where people have value and share love, not because of what they do, but because of "whose they are".
