Is there any particular incense which is good for clearing negative energies from the home?
Don't know about an incense but burning Sage is used for cleansing and blessing a house. Also Cedar, Sweetgrass, lavender are few others.
Incense has shown to help emotions but remember, it is also creating a dirt problem. That smoke has to go somewhere and it is going to end up on your walls, furniture and clothing and your lungs.
Maybe you should try using it in the backyard while meditating or having a coffee or glass of wine.
sage is the correct answer, but bear in mind that the person smudging your home should be a true spiritual medium i.e.a medicine man or other, there is a strict order in which to follow, for example the prayer to the nature spirits, sending the harmful spirits or energies to a place where they can do no harm, the natural order of the sun walk, these are just examples not an explaination to how to do it.
Sage is good to burn but sometimes it dosnt exactly smell all that great... but to mix it up... Copal is used for house blessings, protection and creating a sacred space also theres Benzoin. Dragons Blood (my fav) and Sandalwood.
