Does any bible have the apocalypse of peter in it?
i know it's not in the holy bible used by catholics as it was concidered to be too violent and descriptive by the catholic church . it was written about 100 years after jesus was supposedly alive.
They removed a lot of the gospels... I don't think that there will be any bibles with the apocalypse of Peter in, however you could try putting that in as a search time online, or even have a look at the gnostic gospels. Apparently Mary Magdalene also wrote, but they didn't put hers in either.
I'm pretty sure this book belongs to the Apocrypha. You are right though, such books were not chosen to be part of the New Testament at the Council of Hippo in the early 400's CE.
You may try searching for a free ebook edition of it online. My husband has found several old manuscripts, both Christian-oriented and otherwise, this way.
i saw a documentary about it and a bunch of other books that never made it into the bible. most of them were about doom and gloom so i'm guessing they didn't want to scare people from reading the bible or from seeing how absurd some of the stories are.
