What is missing from a persons life that make them follow a religion?
Knowledge and faith in their own abilities. Once they have it (or get it back), they are much more able to see and comprehend - life!
a few things but part of the reason people follow religion is that it was pushed on them since birth. the other main reason is fear. they hate to think that they have to go through life without anything to help them and they also hate the thought that when they die, it's over.
