What moment in your life was so peaceful that you wish you could experience it again and again?
When I am alone and in meditation. I have peace with myself and I discern why things happen in my life. It is when I feel connected to my inner self and to the Source of all things that exist within me, in my environment and to the whole universe. It's a moment of discernment and acceptance.
It is a moment that I get to experience time and time again...having my two year old grandson fall asleep in my arms...most peaceful feeling in the world!
Almost every breath....almost..not always..but almost every breath is a moment of gratitude and therefore, peace..
The moment I held my son, Michael for the very first time. It was such a peaceful, special moment in my life. I relive it every time I watch the video tape of our hospital stay. I can almost remember the smell of his hair and the feel of his soft skin. It is remarkable to see a life born, but to know that you are part of that person's development into the type of man he is going to become is outstanding.
Years ago I was looking at property way out in the country. It was a beautiful, warm afternoon and a soft breeze was blowing. I sat down on a tree stump and looked down the hill at a beautiful creek. It was a wonderful moment I have never forgotten...I was totally content and at peace.
I have been lucky to experience the feeling over and over again when all my children are under our roof and outside the weather is raging. There is sense of security in knowing where all your loved ones are, and that they are safe.
I would love to re-live every moment when my father hug me tight !! Then you realize, that if nobody, your father or rather your parents are always there for you...
My first kiss with my high school sweetheart... ten years late. It was before dawn. It was pouring down rain. We were walking aimlessly, no place to go. I was only in town for a week. We happened across a civil war cemetery with monuments, some headstones, and it had been turned into a lovely memorial area. Part of it was a park with a small gazebo. We walked around, looked at the monuments, and then took shelter for a few moments under the gazebo. The kiss we shared was profound, probably because we had both wished for ten years that we had shared it in high school. We stepped back and looked around. The rain was still coming down, and the sun was coming up turning colors in the sky. My mind and spirit were quiet. That's the moment I close my eyes and recall when I need to calm myself.
The most peaceful moment that I ever had was when I was in the Dehli, India Akshadam temple. It is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever seen. The atmosphere was so pleasant and the people were so friendly. If I could experience that again it would be fabulous.
