Gods Everlasting Love
“I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore with loving –kindness I have drawn you” Jeremiah 31:3
God’s love for us is everlasting. What a beautiful scripture. This is how He loves us. Everlasting in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary means the following: Lasting forever, eternal, continuing for a long time or indefinitely, tediously persistent, ceaseless, dateless, deathless, endless, immortal, permanent, perpetual, undying and unending.
Just looking at those descriptions you can really see that God’s love is never ending. It’s designed that way. God’s Love for us is also constant since its never ending its always flowing and if you know God intimately, you also know that when His love flows it always overflows because He is a God of abundance.
I really like The Message Translation of this scripture as it puts it in very easy to understand terms “I’ve never quit loving you and I never will. Expect Love, Love and more Love!” I want you to take note of one word in this scripture and that’s the word “WILL”. Will is a promise from God. God WILL never quit loving you.
You might be thinking how that could be possible. How will God love me constantly and forever when I have done some bad things or maybe you have rejected Him. Well, God loves you whether you love Him or not. He is a loving God. He loves us regardless of who we are and what we have done. He doesn’t look at our sins and mistakes and determine the amount of love He feels towards us. No, God loves us at His full capacity right this very moment in our lives. There is nothing you can do that will stop Him from loving you ever. His promise is to love us with an everlasting love. He created us to love so His main objective you could say is to just love us. It’s what He wants to do but we are the ones who shut Him out.
God is not just God. When you give your life to Christ, God then becomes your Father. Your Spiritual Father, and when you take this scripture and acknowledge it as truth believing that He really does love you and that the Love He feels for you will never cease, well that knowledge will set you free. When you know that God loves you and believe in that love, you will see such big changes in yourself and in your life. I guarantee that.
Take this scripture and meditate on it. Think on it, saying it over and over. Change it somewhat by personalising it in this way. My Father loves me with an everlasting love and with loving kindness He draws me. I would suggest that you also make a decision to say this everyday a good few times God Loves me, My Father Love’s me. Let it sink in. Let it take root in your heart. That love will transform you.
Behold the Love, Believe the Love and then just BE LOVED by your Heavenly Father.
Be BLESSED
