Praying Scripture

Updated on May 23, 2009

Tips for praying scripture

When using scripture to pray believing God not only hears but responds to your request. Thus consider beginning with "thank you Lord that..." and add the scripture. Many of the below verses are identified with their location in scripture.  Try ending your prayer "in Jesus name Amen" or simply with Amen. The scriptures have been put into various categories to aid you in prayers that will avail much. May God Bless you!

Luke 10:9 You heal those who are sick and say to them the Kingdom of God has come near to you".

III John 1:2 It is written that we will prosper and be in health, just as our souls prosper.

This hub is filled with hope and helpfulness.

How easily we forget about the mighty power of God's Word. We need to learn to consistently turn to it.

Thank you for reminding us of this.

Lori, I thank you for the excellent examples of compounded scripture to aid in praying scripture. I'm a new kid to this subject, introduced to it by Ms. Jeanie above and arrived here following a link she provided.

I hope you will continue to share more with us. Peace, 50

Lori, wonderful selection of scriptures you've chosen to share for different needs. With you're changing the pronouns and verb tenses, folks unfamiliar with type of prayer should pick it up pretty quickly.
