Updated on March 31, 2013

An Introduction to the Labyrinth

If you are wondering 'What is a labyrinth?' then you have come to the right place.

The concept of the labyrinth has been around for approximately four thousand years. But, in the past few hundred years, the labyrinth had become all but forgotten. Throughout the past few decades there has been renewed interest in the labyrinth.

This lens is dedicated to introducing the labyrinth and providing links to useful labyrinth information.

I've visited a convent where they have a beautiful labyrinth to walk for prayer and meditation. It was a great experience for me! Nice lens.

@anonymous: That sounds very interesting. If you can remember what the labyrinth design looked like, check out my page Labyrinth Symbols and Meaning for the symbolism and a bit of history about the labyrinth. Another idea may be to ask your friend's father what his inspiration was behind the design of his club. Thanks for stopping by.

@Elsie Hagley: just searching for information on labyrinth and stumbled on this site. Question? I was at a friends house when the father takes out plans to build a club, he said. I didn't realize until later it was a diagram of a perfect labyrinth, what did this mean?
