Some people need to travel with their pets when they go on vacation.

If you are coming to Walt Disney World you are probably wondering what to do with your pet while you visit the resort. Only service animals are allowed to stay in hotels or visit parks.

Disney has a new, state-of-the-art kennel designed to make your pet feel comfortable and keep it safe.

There are many options including different levels of overnight stays, daycare and even grooming. Find out what the best option is for your pet and how to make reservations.

What To Do Now

You will need to make boarding or daycare reservations ahead of your visit.

What Kind of Animals Can Be Boarded?

Best Friends Pet Care at Walt Disney World offers boarding to the following types of pets:

  • Rabbits
  • Ferrets

Boarding for other pets such a reptiles, venomous animals and primates is not accommodated at this time.

Are There Any Hotels Near the Walt Disney World Kennel Boarding?

Yes, you can find three hotels on the same road as the kennel. These hotels will allow you to be close to your pet.

This moderate Disney resort hotel offers the feel of the old south. A standard room runs around $200 dollars and night.

There is a pool, playground as well as bike rentals and fishing at the hotel.

The rooms are spacious and offer more luxury than the value resort rooms. There are even special "Princess and the Frog" themed rooms. You can ask about availability when you call to make your reservation.

Staying at Port Orleans is like a mini-vacation all on its own.

Old Key West resort was originally built as a Disney Vacation Club resort. However, accommodations may also be reserved by non-DVC members.

The resort offers studios, up through 3 bedroom suites. These rooms come with refrigerators, kitchens (one bedroom and up) and plenty of extra space. There is also a washer and dryer which makes it extra handy.

OKW offers one large pool plus several quiet ones scattered across the property.

Each building is two stories and hidden among luscious palm trees and greenery.

It is also very close to the kennel so you will have quick and easy access to your pet.
