NFL Passion Week 5: Immanuel's Propehcy
Will Week 5 be able to match the intensity of Week 4?
Week 4 set the tone for Week 5 in the NFL. Week 5 could set the tone for the rest of the season for a lot of NFL teams. Some teams got huge wins last week to keep them right in the thick of things, others huge losses that now give them less room for error. Either way it's still early in the year, and every Sunday is a good Sunday. Week 5, RUN IT!!!
Thursday Night Football
Indianapolis Colts(1-3) at New England Patriots(2-2) 8:20ET 5:20PT Fox
The Colts have lost some close games the couple weeks, heartbreakers in fact. They won't have to worry about that this week because the Pats are back, and will make quick work of them.
Colts 10 Patriots 28
Game of the Week
Jacksonville Jaguars(3-1) at Kansas City Chiefs(4-0) 1ET 10PT CBS
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have been cool, calm, collected and flawless thus far this season. The jaguars feel like they are the best team in the AFC though despite their hiccup against the Titans a couple weeks ago. I think these are the two best teams the AFC has to offer and we gunna find out who's better than who on Sunday.
Jaguars 31 Chiefs 28
GAME OF THE WEEK
What is your Game of the Week for Week 5 in the NFL?
THE GOOD
Miami Dolphins (3-1) at Cincinnati Bengals (3-1) 1ET 10PT CBS
Miami's momentum was completely derailed in New England while the Bengals got an exhilarating victory over the Falcons. Doesn't change the fact that both teams despite being 3-1 desperately need this win.
Dolphins 24 Bengals 21
Atlanta Falcons(1-3) at Pittsburgh Steelers(1-2-1) 1ET 10PT Fox
Both teams have been unfortunate to start the year and both teams are one loss away from being in serious trouble. The difference is the Falcons have actually played well, and aren't in a nasty contract dispute with the best running back in the NFL. The Antonio Brown/Julio Jones show should be a treat for all.
Falcons 35 Steelers 38
Oakland Raiders(1-3) at Los Angeles Chargers(2-2) 4:05ET 1:05PT CBS
A bitter rivalry renewed Both teams got huge nail biting wins last week and both teams still have work to do.That starts Sunday in a matchup where business is never finished. Give me the Raiders in LA where it always feels lie a home game on the road for the Silver and Black.
Minnesota Vikings(1-2-1) at Philadelphia Eagles(2-2) 4:25ET 1:25PT Fox
This was the NFC Championship Game last season. This year it's only Week 5 and the loser is going to be in serious trouble. they are still two of the most talented teams in a stacked NFL, and if Minnesota's effort against the Rams last week is any indication this should be another good one. Philly's game wasn't to shabby last week either.
Vikings 24 Eagles 28
Los Angeles Rams(4-0) at Seattle Seahawks(2-2) 4:25ET 1:25PT Fox
The Rams have pried the NFC West from Seattle the same way the Seahawks did the 49ers back in 2013. It is clearly theirs now. They say what comes around goes around. Will the Seahawks have anything to say about it?
Rams 13 Seahawks 7
Dallas Cowboys(2-2) at Houston Texans(1-3) 8:20ET 5:20PT NBC
It's the battle if Texas and with pride on the line we should see two overachieving teams on the field. Both teams won with field goals last week so both have huge momentum coming in. Advantage no one.
Cowboys 20 Texans 21
THE BAD
Tennessee Titans(3-1) at Buffalo Bills(1-3) 1ET 10PT CBS
The Titans scored impressive wins against the Jaguars and the Eages in consecutive weeks. The Bills should be easy as pie.
Titans 24 Bills 6
Denver Broncos(3-1) at New York Jets(1-3) 1ET 10PT CBS
Does anyone think the Jets are touching the Broncos? I don't.
Broncos 24 Jets 10
New York Giants(1-3) at Carolina Panthers(2-1) 1ET 10PT Fox
It has the potential to be a great game. I just don;t see it happening as the Football Giants continue to underachieve.
Giants 17 Panthers 31
THE UGLY
Green Bay Packers (2-1-1) at Detroit Lions(1-3) 1ET 10PT Fox
The Packers are either going to destroy the Lions, or the Lions will fight back and make it interesting. Either way, it won't be a pretty day in Detroit.
Packers 35 Lions 14
Arizona Cardinals (0-4) at San Francisco 49ers(1-3) 4:25ET1:25PT
The 49ers are still trying to measure their season minus Jimmy g and the Cards just want a win for goodness sake. Both have quarterback issues and this one should get chippy.
Cardinals 14 49ers 21
UPSET SPECIAL
Baltimore Ravens(3-1) at Cleveland Browns(1-2-1) 1ET 10PT CBS
The Browns had their momentum thawed by an overtime loss to Oakland last week, but they have a chance to grab a huge win at home against the Ravens. Coming off big wins against the Steelers and Broncos I expect the Ravens to be cocky.
Ravens 17 Browns 21
Monday Night Football
Washington Redskins(2-1) at New Orleans Saints(3-1) 8:30ET 5:30PT ESPN
Both teams have been solid but Washington has been the surprise so far. How far will that tuck everlasting water work for Alex Smith and Adrian Peterson as father time continues to catch up to them. Seeing as they need to win now, I think the Skins will want it just a little bit more, though I think old man Brees may have a little bit to say about that himself.
Redskins 23 Saints 20
That is your Week 5 NFL preview. May the games live up to past weeks as the season is on fire out of the gate.Who will stay undefeated, who's season will take a turn for the worse. We'll just have to speculate until Sunday. Week 5, Run it!!!
