Throwing elbows in any sport

    The Magic's Rafer Alston and the Lakers' Derek Fisher have been suspended for a game apiece for throwing elbows, but why wasn't Bryan tsuspended as well? He threw an elbow that hit Artest "just low enough". The NBA is riddled with crappy policies. Aggression is OK, but THERE'S NO PLACE IN ANY SPORT FOR VIOLENCE. AND IF THROWING ELBOWS TO SOMEBODY'S GROIN IS NOT VIOLENT I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS.

    I think you should be required to throw some elbows in any sport!

    Elbows are required for basketball.  Although, Kobi throwing a bow at Artest might not be the smartest thing.  I think Artest might be the scariest guy in the NBA.

    I beg to differ...

    If you look at it scientifically, it's sort of like the knee-jerk test. You know, when the doctor taps you on the knee with the rubber mallet and your knee jolts forward.

    Well Kobe has the same type of deal:

    Rebound -> Elbow-jerk
    Jump shot -> Swings arms out

    It happens...
