Yes, Michael Shawn Hickenbottom aka Shawn Michaels has retired from WWE after his loss to The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 26. before the match he promised that he would retire if he can't defeat the Undertaker and end his Wrestlemania streak.Following week on WWE Raw he has confirmed that he will keep his word like a gentleman and retire from professional wrestling.
Outside the story line it is also rumored that Shawn's daughter is not good at health, so he wanted time off WWE and also spending time with his family was one of his ongoing priorities.
So untill further announcement from either WWE or Shwan Michaels himself, he has officially retired.
Yes, Shawn did retire after wrestlemania. Be on the look out for a reality show with him and his family within the next year or so.
