The Running of the Bulls - would you do it?

I just read that 'only' six people were injured in the opening day of Pamploma, Spain's annual running of the bulls. According to the same article, runners are required to be at least 18, not be drunk, they can't make the bulls angry and they have to run in the same direction as the bulls and that the seven day event is apparently kind of like Mardi Gras.

I would go to watch it, but I'm not running it. How about you?

No not after watching YouTube videos of all those men running with the bullies and getting injured. I find it very disturbing. I would like to know why anyone would attempt to run with bulls and that is why I am following this question.

I'd imagine it's some sort of rite of passage for some people. I'd rather just get old gracefully!

I would love to go to Pamplona and do it!

I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie and the festival also looks like a great opportunity to experience part of Spanish culture.

After the Spanish outlawed bull-fighting I fear this could soon be outlawed despite it being such a draw for tourists. Maybe it would be better to do at soon due to that risk.
