Who would win in a game between this years Olymic team and the 1992 team
1992 team would face-roll this team. =-P
They barely beat Argentina the other night, after bragging for 2 weeks they were just as good or better than the 92' team. bwhaha
This topic should never be debated. The 1992 team would handle the current team fairly easily. Yes the modern "dream team" has what will go down as 3 of the best all time players; however the real dream team had 11 of the all time best players. With the exception of Christian Laettner every player on the 1992 dream team could at some point of their career be considered a top 5 player in the league in a given year. How many guys could you say that about on this years team? I will give you a hint...NOT 11. Not to mention that the 92 team has a huge size advantage over the current team and a lot more depth. I understand the rest of the world has caught up with the U.S in basketball but barely getting by Argentina and struggling against Brazil are two examples of things one couldnt even begin to conceive with the original dream team. Lets not forget the original dream team faced very good foreign players such as drazen petrovic and toni kukoc and they were shut down.
