Is the window closing on Tom Brady & the Patriots?

Tom and the Patriots have come so close on a number of occasion, but hasn't been able to smoke the cigar since Super Bowl XXXIX. As a Patriots fan, I know that window is closing for Tom & the Patriots like it does for all football players & teams. I hope Tom & the Patriots can finish what they have started because they have come to close.

Hi Miller. It looks that way. It's been 8 years since they last won the Super Bowl, My prediction is they only have 2 or 3 years left.

Yeah, I think so. I don't know how much longer Brady and Belichick are going to be around. Maybe not more than a couple of years. It's going to be tough for those fans if NE ends up in rebuilding mode. They haven't had a losing season in over a decade.

In the postseason, its about defense like the San Francisco 49ers defense that stop the run, pass, and come up with key stops late int the game. Coach Belichick has to figure out to get the defense up to par.

That's true.  Their defense can't make the big play anymore.

The truth is about this defense, its not even close to how it was when it had Bruschi, McGinest, Harrison, Milloy, Vrabel, Law, and Seymour. I don't know what to make of this defense other than they can't get it done.

They still have Wilfork, but either way, they have a lot of work to do, if they want their defense to be what it was.

They haven't won a superbowl since spygate. How many rings would they really have without cheating? The defense is no longer on top, the receivers are so,so. Brady's passes were off the mark and the Ravens have their number. If not for a dropped pass and missed FG last year they would have gone home early as well.

Ouch, another mentioning of the spygate, that hurts. I do agree with you about the defense. This defense is no even close to the old defense the Pats had. Coach has to do something about this defense.

They did cheat for a while.  If only they played fair when they faced the Eagles in the Super Bowl.  Even though the Eagles would have won if Donovan McNabb played decent.  Maybe, I would have something to be happy about in the NFL,

Maybe, but I think that it is still open, just since their defense isn't as good as it was when they were winning Super Bowls, they have had a harder time winning the big game.  Tom Brady is a great quarterback, but he can't do everything.  He still needs some help.  Also, with injuries to their receiving core, and players dropping passes, their offense is not as effective enough to make up for their lack of having a good defense.

I agree with you. When it comes to the postseason, its about the team who has the best defense like the San Francisco 49ers who can stop the run, pass, and come up with key stops late in the game.

Yep.  In fact, funny you bring them up, as they are the best remaining team, and going to the Super Bowl.  Anyway, you're right about them.
