Are the New York Yankees vs Boston Red Sox MLB biggest rivalry?
Absolutely, its Red Sox vs Yankees and then there is everyone else.
Yes it is. Most other rivalries in any other sport pale in comparison to the Bronx Bombers and the BoSox one. I've heard people joke that they should send one team to the National League just so they can play each other in the World Series every year. I live outside of Boston but I am a Yankees fan and always have been. I have family members that don't speak to me for 6 months out of the year because of it and let me say it's worth it.
Whether your talking about the Red Sox comeback in 04, the Pedro Martinez brawl or the Aaron Boone 03 NLCS walk off, all are viable reasons to why this is the best rivalry in baseball. Not only do all the games these teams play come down to the final innings, but the rich traditions of these organizations and constant contention in the AL east keep this rivalry going for years to come.
Oh yes, definitely. I live in New England and I am a lifelong Yankee fan so I see it all the time (my own family is divided on the issue!) Best year - 1978; worst year - 2004. 'Nuff said.

Does this make the Red Sox the favorites in the AL East or are they still looking up at the Yankees and Rays? Also, does this mean the Yankees will bid way over the market price for Cliff...

The NY Yankees win their win against the Baltimore Orioles have finally taken over the AL East and are now a game ahead of the Boston Red Sox. Can the Yankees do it?

Well on ESPN, it was discussed that the possibility behind the Red Sox's collapse was because of lack of team chemistry, obviously. However, one analyst cited that it seems like since the Red Sox won their first world series in decades under Francona that they abandoned their identity; which...

Why do the Red Sox use "Sweet Caroline" for their 7th inning stretch song?I'm curious how this song ended up as a signature song for the Red Sox.
