Where did all the money supposed to have been spent on the Sochi Olympics go to?

The Russians were given 51 billion dollars for the 2014 Olympics, p[us they went over budget by 10 billion.  With all the problems, lack of facilities, unfinished buildings, lack of hot water and clear drinkable water, computers and cellphone hacking security issues, and poor housing conditions- and unsafe ski slopes and competion areanas, where did the money go and what should be done about the frauding of the Olympic committee by the Russians?

I think it might have bought some Lamborghini's for Putin's cronies.

Next time, the Olympics should not be given to Russia, probably the only way to ensure it is not defrauded so heavily.

Shawn White pulled out of an event because the ramps were sketchy and dangerous.  We had another snowboarder say the same about the half pipe.I feel for the Canadian Hockey team whose luggage is outside cause their rooms are too small for suitcases.

Goodness, I didn't know about that.  I hope they can still survive such circumstances.

Well the British media haven't reported any of the above and the 'unsafe' slopes were something the media jumped on not knowing about re-development of the slopestyle course post initial practice stages so it's always worthwhile not to read too much into what is reported.

Bare in mind that Rosa Khutor was realistically a tiny ski resort up to this point by european and north american standards and a rail link had to be built between the mountain resort and Sochi too

I believe they used some of the money to set the place , and everything that cost money beside the set. They are using some of the funds to pay the workers. Acomodation is expensive. The Olympics are beautiful.  It is a dream come true  for the athletes , and people that are watching.

Which brings me to the point that it is Olympics...  the Olympics are suppose to have the BEST venues for these amazing athletes to compete in, and Sochi gets a flat F on that gradecard. They've failed these athletes miserably, & it wasn't bc of
