    In the context of World Cup 2014, does Messi deserve a Golden Ball award?

    Lionel Messi is undoubtedly a great football player. But, his performance in this world cup has been very ordinary. What do you think? Do you think that he deserves the Golden Ball or was he just an over-hyped under-achiever in the context of this world cup?

    No way. He did score good goals, I'll admit that, but he wasn't that great.

    Not at all, he had a (relatively) poor performance in each of the knockout games, and there were much better players who deserved it.

    No one player really stood out.  Germany had a great team.  James Rodriguez was excellent, but his team didn't go as far as Messi's.  Same with Robben.  It was more like process of elimination than someone actually earned it.
