   Absolutely!
   This is one organization that has proven time and time again that they will pay the luxury tax to get the best players to put the organization in a position to win a title.
   "The Lakers are one of the most successful teams in the history of the NBA, and have won 16 NBA championships, their last being in 2010. As of 2015, {the Lakers are the most valuable franchise in the NBA} according to {Forbes}, having an estimated value of $2.6 billion."
   Historically they won in 1949,  4 titles in the 50s, none during the 60s, 1 title during the 70s, 5 titles in the 80s.They didn't win a single championship in the 90s but have won 5 titles since 2000.
   Aside from championships the Lakers have been in the finals {31} times! That is 10 more times than the team with the second most appearances. However although the Boston Celtics have been to the finals (21) times they have won 17 titles compared to the Lakers 16 titles.  The Lakers is an organization that (expects) to be a contender.

   They are the Lakers of course they will win another championship. However the only problem is that they will not be able to win another one while Kobe and his contract are still playing.
