Any survivalists know how to build an underground shelter complete with fire wood stove?
There's a movie, I can't recall the name, where a dad and son are hiding out, living literally under an old stump in an abandon lot in the woods. Essentially it looks like they carved a hole in the ground and maybe used the stump as a clandestine "chimney" for a woodburning stove in the hole/shelter. Is this feasible? Could you make a covered hole shelter and say rig a small wood burning stove inside without filling the hole with carbon monoxide? What would you have to be careful or wary of? Could this work as a long term shelter?
