Game #1 of the NLCS playoffs Padres lose - Philly 2, Padres 0. Oh No!! Turned out to be a good pitching/defensive game. Pad fans still have faith as they are set to fill the stands of Petco Park this afternoon. Game starts at 1:35 pm PDT. The Pads are known to play better for afternoon games. After this game they go to Philadelphia for two games then come home again.

The Pads will go to Philadelphia evened up after game two yesterday afternoon victory (10/19/22) while the field baked in 95ºF. Pad fans were kinda' stunned after the second inning when the Phillies jumped to 4 runs scored. But. the final tally was Pads = 8 and Phillies = 5.

Oh No!! Game four out of the way last night with the Pads losing to the Phillies 10 - 6. That puts the series Phillies 3 games and Pads 1. The Pads tonight need to win to keep their bid for pennant alive then go to Petco Park and win the last two games with a home crowd. Or, simply lose the pennant with a game loss tonight. Hopefully they will do what they did with Dodgers to get to this series and win three in a row.

Oh No!! Bummer!!! Game five ended with a Phillies victory giving them the pennant and ending the Pads pursuit of a World Series appearance. At least it was an exciting game keeping spectators and home viewers on the edge of their seats. It will be next year for the Pads. Go Pads 2023!!
