Caitlin Clark has recently become the first wnba player in history to be named athlete of the year for Time Magazine. Not female athlete of the year. Just athlete of the year. Caitlin has not only broken tons of records in the wnba, but her games have set ratings and attendance records as well. Many of her road games last season forced wnba teams to relocate games to accommodate her fans to show up to these games. In fact, many Caitlin Clark games from last wnba season and college had higher ratings than most of the games in the men's NBA games this season. I'm not joking.
I'm not going to delve too much into what Caitlin said in time Magazine considering I plan to write an article talking about this later. However, she said something recently in the interview that pissed off a lot of her fans.
She said and I quote, "I want to say I've earned every single thing, but as a white person, there is privilege." She went on to mention that black women in the wnba founded and built the league, and how they deserve to be propped up.
As some of you may know, a lot of Trump supporters and conservatives rooted for Caitlin Clark, in spite of the fact that she's always been liberal. Heck, she liked a freaking tweet by Taylor Swift endorsing Kamala Harris earlier this year. That should be proof of where her political beliefs are in my opinion.
Caitlin Clark also claimed she wasn't bullied and targeted last year in spite receiving more flagrant fouls committed against her while the refs allowed it more so than most other players in the wnba. And she claims Angel Reese didn't celebrate Channedy Carter pushing Caitlin to the ground during a dead ball moment in a game, even though it was obvious Angel was to anyone who saw that game. And then the eye poke incident by Djonaia Carrington who was literally looking right at Caitlin Clark the whole time, while poking her in the eye on a play. And then after watching Caitlin fall to the ground, Djonai goes to her teammate and laughs about something which many people assume was about the eye poke.
While I can't prove Djonai was laughing with her teammate about hurting Caitlin Clark last year and nearly ending Caitlins career in a playoff game, I will say that I doubt seriously she didn't know she poked Caitlin the eye when it happened like she claims considering camera angles show Djonais was looking right at her the whole time while doing it.
Now, I understand why Caitlin would claim those incidents don't prove anything and why she would say she's not being targeted even though she clearly is because she doesn't want to appear weak. I get it. Plus, I feel it's smart on her part.
As for her "white privilege" comment, I don't have an issue with it per say because if that's how she feels then that's her right to do so. The only thing that bothers me is that many of her fans are now claiming they're not going to watch the wnba games anymore and many are saying the wnba is going to die now because Caitlin brought up white privilege in that interview.
What are your thoughts? Do you think Caitlin deserves to lose fans over her "white privilege" comments? Or should she have shut up and dribbled?
Oh boy. It's getting worse for her. Not only is her conservative fans turning on her, but the wnba players and liberals she was pandering to still don't like her. Ugh. I'm still planning to follow her, and I want to write an article about her. However, I may just wait and see how this plays out to see if her "white privilege" comments kill her drawing power to the wnba or not. I do feel bad for her. I have a lot of thoughts on this, but I'm going to reserve them for my article, but this doesn't look good.
"but the wnba players and liberals she was pandering to still don't like her"
Correct, the Progressives and Race hustlers will never be satisfied, enough can never be done.
If they were lynching white people in the streets and stoning them to death it wouldn't be enough for some of them, that is what they have, their hate... the blame game...
If a person gives up on victimhood, if they stop blaming, they become responsible for their own actions... what they are doing for their own 'tribe'.
And that IS what it comes down to... 'tribe'... 'cult'... 'ideology'...
Caitlin was brought up through a woke school system process...
It will be many years before she figures out that she achieved what she did despite not getting privileges for being a minority... or being a victim...

For those of you who don't know who Caitlin Clark is, she's a female basketball player in the WNBA. She made a name for herself in college playing for Iowa, where she made her patented 3 point shots from the logo of the freaking basketball court almost all the time. She also owns...

Several WNBA players, owners, execs and media pundits claim that Caitlin Clark's entire fan base are racist bigots. Granted, these people tend to ignore all the minorities that root for Caitlin Clark like LeBron James, Steph Curry and etc, but I digress. Anyways, Caitlin has been...

Do you really believe there is a "white privilege"?Specially in US, where this issue seems to be more hot, when the majority of the population voted twice to have a black president ruling the country, do you really believe that there is a "white privilege" or are people just...

Privilege is defined as “a right, immunity, or benefit enjoyed only by a person beyond the advantages of most.” White privilege means that there are rights, immunities or benefits enjoyed only by whites because society places whites in a higher position than minorities. Some examples of this...
