Moses Malone became a restricted free agent after the 1981–82 season, and he signed an offer sheet with the Philadelphia 76ers on September 2, Houston then exercised its right of first refusal and matched the offer, only to trade Malone to the Sixers on September 15 for Caldwell Jones and a 1983 first-round draft choice.
Malone (who teamed up with Dr. J) went on to win a championship with the 76ers in 1983.
So the question is . . will history repeat itself in 2011 with Lebron in Miami?
Mr. James will NEVER win an NBA championship.
He just doesn't have the heart
Greek One. . . he doesnt have the heart I agree but he sure has a big bank account!
I think this whole thing was pure BS . .and I am glad it is over. . I just wish NY could bring back some basketball .. I miss it. .
Hey Wavegirl, what's up?
I'm not much into basketball, but people should be entertaining the thought that Lebron will retire without title, but probably be at the top of the categories, just not titles.
He is a great player, but something is lacking, if that isn't already obvious.
Just my thoughts.
Cags . .
your thoughts are always so well darn right thoughtful:) have to agree with you . .something is lacking and I am glad he isnt coming to NY.
