Coach Outlet Coupons - How to Get Discounts at the Coach Factory Outlet

Updated on April 15, 2010

I love Coach Handbags. They have a great look to them, Coach offers many styles and they are all made sturdy fabrics and/or with deliciously supple and soft leather. Coach bags certainly are well made handbags, but boy are they expensive! So whenever I decide to shop for one, you can bet I wait until I have a chance to visit the nearest Coach Factory Outlet Store.

I also like to try to save even more money by getting my hands on a Couch Outlet coupon, which can save another 10 or 20% sometimes, off of prices that are already usually about 30% lower than what you'd pay at Macys or Bloomingdales or at a Coach boutique store.

I don't really feel the need to have the absolute latest and greatest handbag, or the one that is currently being displayed in Vogue or Glamour Magazine. So that makes shopping at the Coach Factory Outlet perfect for me as the bags that are sold in the Outlet stores tend to be last season's merchandise, discontinued items, or bags that for some reason jut didn't sell as well as Coach had hoped they would.

Also, Coach makes bags just for their outlets. So don't expect to see every Coach tote that you see at your regular department store at your Coach Factory Outlet Store  as well.

The way the business is run, you'll often find totally different products because some are manufactured specifically to be sold at the outlets. That doesn't bother me a bit though, as I like to spend an hour or two hunting through all of their bags and wallets to find the perfect one for me and I don't care whether or not they were in a boutique previously.

But you might be wondering, how can you get your hands on a Coach Outlet coupon so you can save money on a hot Coach handbag as well? Here's the scoop!

How to Find Coach Outlet Coupons

The first thing you want to do is get yourself on the Coach Outlet mailing list. Just stop by your nearest store and sign up. Also, if you are buying something at the Coach store, be on the look-out for any coupons they are offering with your purchase. Check the bottom of that shopping bag!

Also, you don't need to buy anything to get a coupon. If you see a staff person handing them out, just ask for one. You will find around Christmastime that they are just handing the coupons out as you walk in the door. So have fun shopping!

Alternatively, go to Coach.com and sign up for their email list. You will definitely get coupon offers for the Coach Factory stores in your email. Email coupons usually go out on Wednesday, if there is one. I'm not sure how often they send them out, but it is very frequently and the best time of year is naturally near Christmas. For example, they are running an offer right now for a 20% off coupon on this page here. But that may be gone by the time you see it, although it is likely a new offer will instantly replace :)

Also, Outlet stores, Coach or otherwise, are usually part of an Outlet Mall. So if you know the name of the Outlet Mall you are going to be shopping at, be sure to check out their website as well and sign up for any coupons and deal they are offering.

If the Mall doesn't hav a website (unlikely nowadays) be sure to stop at the Welcome Desk or Information Desk to see if they have any coupon books when visiting the Mall. You may find a coupon for the Couch Outlet in there, or you may find a coupon that gives you a percentage off at ANY store in the Outlet Mall.

Coach Factory Shopping Tips

Now here's a couple of tips for shopping at the Coach Outlet that can save you a lot of grief and aggravation.

  1. The first thing you are going to need to act on is -- if you see a bag you like, PICK IT UP! Seriously, if you like the looks of a bag, but you are still shopping. Don't just leave it there. Merchandise moves fast at the Coach Factory and you may be crying if you decided that was the bag you wanted, but some other woman came along and picked it up while you were thinking about it. So if you see a bag you like, pick it up and carry it around with you. You can always put the bags down later.
  2. Secondly, some of these bags have been sitting on a store shelf for awhile and have been handled quite a bit. So once I decide on the right Coach handbag for me, I inspect it carefully for discolorations or any marks or smears. You'd be surprised how often a ballpoint pen will swipe a bag. Look for nicks in the leather as well and give the strap a good inspection, as well as the interior lining. If the bag passes inspection, then go ahead and buy it and just enjoy the huge savings!
