Learning Make Up Tips On YouTube

Updated on January 11, 2011

Beauty is beauty. You don't need to cake make up on your face in order to look attractive. HOWEVER, for us creative ones out there-- make up is an art form. As a human being self expression is imperative (at least in my opinion). Just as you'd drag a brush across a canvas, make up can be a great way to express your creative side. Now the big question on everyone's mind is "Great, cool, but how do I know what to do?". Well, YouTube can teach you just about everything you've ever wanted to know about cosmetics. Screw beauty school, teach yourself diy make up application.

Learning Make Up Tips On YouTube

Every one of us wants to look flawless sometimes. Half the time you can find me in yoga pants in a hoodie-- but I like looking nice every now and then. I can honestly say that watching beauty gurus on YouTube definitely helped me learn far more than I ever thought. I always had an eye for make up, and I did alright with application. Well, minus the embarrassing years of middle school (who ever thought white upper liner was a good idea?). However, watching make up tutorials on YouTube can really teach you the ropes. If you don't believe me, give it a try. I'm telling you, you'll be instantly hooked.

So now the question on your mind is probably "Well, where do I begin?". This is a very good question, as I can tell you first hand-- there's a lot of bad apples out there. When first planning this article I had originally wanted to write a list of my favorite beauty gurus. However, out of the five I contacted only one of them actually gave me the go ahead. Seeing as though shes my favorite anyways, I have no problem giving her the spotlight. My favorite YouTube beauty Guru: LaurenIsOkay.

Maybe I'll sound conceited as hell by saying this, but it helps that shes cute as button. I just don't want to sit back and get beauty advice from someone who doesn't look nice. Shes detailed, and does everything step by step. Unlike some gurus, she actually projects herself as a regular human being. She has a sense of humor, and she just seems real. But beyond her personality and cuteness, shes actually got some amazing tutorials. I'd highly suggest checking her out, and going from there.

So thats my advice on Learning Make Up Tips On YouTube. Its a great way to learn Diy Make Up Application, and became great at applying your own make up. However, word of warning-- you may devise a serious obsession with cosmetics and start a ridiculous collection (just saying). Good luck guys!
