Natural Hair and Skin Moisturizers

Updated on September 17, 2020

Home Conditioners

Conditioners and moisturizers made from home are great! Although I do love natural body products, I do have my favorite Aveeno skin care products that I use on a daily basics. I have used Aveeno daily cleansing scrub pads for years now, and would not dream of switching. For me Aveeno products is one of the best skin cleansing products that you can buy. The products actually do an awesome job! Mostly Aveeno is known for its dry skin moisturizers, whether it is lotions, or skin cream the results are always positive for your skin. The cleansing pads are already moist no need to even add water. You just take the pad out of the jar and start scrubbing in circular motions. They really do get nice and suddzie (suds) check out the video to see for yourself. Only thing I can not figure out is why 28 pads to a jar instead of 30 or 31 for a full month supply.

Natural Hair Conditioners

Here is a receipe which is sure to please:

1 Avocado

1/2 cup mayonnaise

This is information is in the video as well. What you want to do is mash up your avocado first. Once you have your avocado mashed up mix it well with your mayo. Begin first by applying your conditioner to the scalp giving your scalp a light massage as you apply is awesome! Once you have your conditioner on the scalp at the roots you want to go ahead and apply what you have left, and begin combing the conditioner throughout the hair from roots to the ends of the hair. Now that you have your conditioner well throughout the hair cover your hair with a shower cap for deep conditioning. Leave the cap on for approximately 20 - 30 min. If you are bothered with really dry hair you can wrap a hot wet towel over the shower cap for added conditioning. Of course you do want to ring out any additional water from the towel to avoid being soaked as you condition.

Quick Conditioners

If you do not have the extra time for the avocado conditioner there is the quick egg conditioner. Eggs as you know are rich in protein what you can do for this home conditioner is beat your egg until it is light yellow, now go ahead and apply to your hair. Leave your conditioner in for 10 - 15 minutes, and rinse that's it!

A quick conditioner if you have kinky hair you can use:

1 egg

1/2 mayo

3 tablespoons of olive oil

Mix all of your ingredients start putting your conditioner in your hair from scalp to ends of hair. Use a shower cap to cover your hair for 10 - 15 minutes. Thoroughly rinse with warm water, and style as normal. With this conditioner I personally loved to use a ton of olive oil, and believe it or not I would leave it on over night and rinse out in the morning. When I attended Cosmetology school I would use this home conditioner, and never tell my secret. It gave my hair such a silky smooth texture, and shine was awesome. I know you are probably thinking sleep with conditioner, yep! That was just what I did I would not recommend this for anyone who has sensitive skin.

Natural Skin Moisturizer

If you have problem dry skin here is a recipe to help put some moisture in your skin. It is really simple, milk and honey that's it! The best place of course to do this is in the shower. Mix equal part milk and honey start applying at your feet give yourself a little massage as you apply. You know it is the right thickness when it has a lotion-like feel to it. After your all covered with your moisturizer simply rinse off, and you are finish.

A great way to remove dead skin off the bottom of your feet is coffee grounds. Save your coffee grounds from the morning coffee, and use them at night for a great feet softener.
