Updated on May 12, 2009

Rechargeable Razors

If you're in the market for an electric, rechargeable razor, you want to make sure that your scope includes the cheap rechargeable shavers as well as the best. You'll find that sometimes cheap is better, but in some cases cheap is not. It'll be your call to determine which shaver is the one you want cutting so close to your face.

Just remember that when looking for a rechargeable razor you want to find one that not only leaves you with a smooth shave, but has a nice grip so that you don't drop it. There are different features that you may be looking for in a rechargeable shaver model, so it's best to shop around so that you get the best deal for the features at hand.

Braun 8975 Rechargeable Shaver

The Braun 8975 is one of the world's best foil shavers. It features Gillette Blade Technology, Power Comb, and a 360° active contouring head. The Gillette Blade Technology cuts hair close to your skin in just one stroke without pulling or tugging at your skin, while the Power Comb lifts hair that typical lie flat. The active head oscillates 360° so that you can get a closer shave in your sensitive areas such as your neck, and the contour feature means the shaver head automatically adjusts with your facial contour in order to get the closest shave possible.

The Braun 8975 has a unique smart foil pattern that captures hairs that grow in other directions than the one you're shaving in, which means that you have fewer strokes that you have to make to get that close shave.

This rechargeable shaver model also features a charge indicator to let you know when your battery is low. You can fully charge a low battery in one hour, and have a charge of cordless shaving for up to 50 minutes, or you can charge the razor for a 3 minute quick charge and have enough power for one shave. But, you don't even have to recharge the battery, you can use the corded option with this razor model.

I've used the Norelco shaver for about 20 years then switched over to the Braun. The Norelco gave me a closer shave.
