For months I noticed the E.L.F. Cosmetics section during my weekly trips to Target. I love bargains, but something about purchasing cosmetics for only a dollar made my insides cringe. Yes, I figured it must be a sign and headed out to my local Target to make my first E.L.F. purchase. However, instead of buying one product I ended up with five incredible deals, each only setting me back $1.

If you've read my hubs before then you know how obsessed I am with oil controlling makeup. After discovering the wonders of Revlon Colorstay Makeup I rarely need to touch up my face with blotting paper, but sometimes I choose to go without makeup for a day and it's nice having these amazing little sheets to instantly absorb the oil on my skin. They minimize the look of my pores and instantly erase away the shine, creating a nice matte finish. E.L.F. also added green tea extract to help rejuvenate the skin and mask facial imperfections. This added bonus is not always found in other more expensive brands. For only $1 you get 50 oil absorbing sheets in a convenient package, small enough to fit into the tiniest purse. Although I wish more sheets were included you can easily buy two or three more and still save money.

Now this little gem was a complete surprise. I am extremely picky when it comes to mascara. Mascara should never clump, smudge, flake or dissolve during the application process or throughout the day. I've been disappointed too many times by very expensive brands that claim to deliver amazing results but always fall short. E.L.F. made the perfect mascara for only $1! This mascara goes on easily and really covers each lash with a nice, thick coat. E.L.F. designed the mascara brush to be a little stiff which helps define and lengthen each lash. There is something unique about this mascara because I don't need to apply a second coat to achieve the eye-popping look I love so much. Although it is not waterproof it stays on all day without giving me raccoon eyes around dinnertime, even in hot weather! I purchased the black color, which I absolutely adore, but I do believe it also comes in black/brown.

I've suffered from adult acne for many years. I become very excited when I find a product that eliminates pimples before they appear. Believe me, this product made me smile with delight the very first time I used it. E.L.F. Cosmetics made a great little zit zapper with a unique blend of salicylic acid, tea tree oil, witch hazel and camphor. This clear roll-on formula helps to fight and prevent acne, reduces redness and swelling and minimizes pore size. However, I do have one complaint with the roll-on applicator. If you are not careful and you use this product on unclean skin, then you risk contaminating the entire formula with bacteria. Only use the roll-on zit zapper after washing your face! If used correctly you will immediately notice pimples drying up overnight and a huge reduction in the amount of pimples that spring to life. This formula leaves the skin feeling refreshed and gives acne sufferers like me a huge feeling of satisfaction for only $1.

I have looked everywhere for the perfect gloss. I wanted something pink, but not over-the-top pink, just a natural pop of color on my lips. I also wanted a nice glossy finish that would stay on my lips without coming off after a few sips of water. E.L.F. made the perfect gloss in the most adorable shade, appropriately named Flirt. This light pink color goes on easily and really sticks to your lips. The gloss is rather thick and does feel sticky, but I believe this combination helps it last for such a long time. It comes in a convenient container that gives you an even application. You just turn the dial on the bottom, watch the lip gloss travel up to the lip brush and then apply it to your lips. It has a nice sweet taste that won't overwhelm your senses and it comes in many amazing shades. Not only does the formula condition your lips it's also infused with micro-mirror technology to reflect the light and offer brilliant shine.

E.L.F. offers 12 different quads of the most amazing eyeshadow colors. Each quad holds four coordinating shades that allow for both natural and dramatic looks. There is a tiny built-in mirror, which actually works, and an eyeshadow applicator provided in each quad. I purchased the Day 2 Night quad and I love the purple, grey, tan and pink colors. Not only are the colors beautiful, but they go on easily and stay in place throughout the day. I used this eyeshadow during the hot summer months and never noticed the color clumping together in my eyelid crease like other more expensive brands.
