Look Younger with Skin Care Cream

Updated on August 15, 2009

With so many different skin care creams on the market, and everyone of them claiming to be the best ever made, it's no wonder why we all struggle with how to find a skin care cream that actually does what it claims to do.

What makes it even more confusing is the price. Some are priced like they have some magical ingredient in the bottle that will claim to make you look 10 years younger in only a week. But, at the same time a similar product will come out claiming to give you the same results, but for a fraction of the cost. Does that make the other more expensive product better?

Here are a few tips to help you select the best skin care cream:

Don't be fooled by products that are in beautiful bottles or endorsed by your favorite celebrity. Just remember, endorsements don't guarantee a good quality product. In fact, when a line of skin care comes out with an endorsement of lets say Jessica Simpson, it's usually because they want to sell more of the product. What went into the bottle had nothing to do with Jessicas' endorsement.

Don't let the price fool you into believing the product is good because it has a high price tag. Often times, some of the expensive, top of the line products use inferior ingredients or small amounts of the good stuff. When a company has profitability as their main concern, they usually have less concern for the effects on your skin.

We all need some kind of moisturizer, but don't expect your moisturizer to get rid of all fine lines and wrinkles. We all need to keep our skin hydrated, but hydration will not reverse the aging of your skin. You need to find a products that is specifically designed to get rid of wrinkles.

Karatin for Smooth Youthful Skin

In order to help give your skin the natural glow that it once had, you have to look for ingredients like Karatin that will help promote you skins elasticity by helping with the regrowth of collagen and elastin. Karatin is a protein that is found naturally in our bodies. Unfortunately as we age, the levels of Karatin found in our bodies lessen and are not sufficient in keeping or skin youthful. But, by applying certain products that have Karatin, we can supply our skin with the Karatin it no longer has, and help our skin to look smooth and youthful once again.

When looking for Karatin, you want to find a special form of Karatin called Cynergy TK. With it's deep penetrating form, it shows to improve skin elasticity 42% over 18 days.

Another key ingredient to look for is Phytessence Wakame. This ingredient is a kelp and is only found in the Japanese sea. This kelp helps to stop harmful enzymes from breaking down hyaluronic acid. Without this form of acid, collagen, and elastin fibers lose their glue, which is why we get wrinkles and dark circles.
