How should one treat skin that is sensitive, drying, maturing, and acnaic all at the same time????
I was so glad that you know of other women with skin that is drying, aging, sensitive and acnaic all at the same time.If I use anti-againg products , my skin breaks out; if I use acne products,it makes my skin dryer and more irritated.
No woman should have to try to fight wrinkles and acne at the same time. Help!
sherrybabyChere,Of course it is all about balance. You want the acne to go away so we target the acne with spot treatments. You can target treat your skin conditons. Although it is hard to give specific advise when I can't see you in person I can give you some general guidelines. Treat the acne outbreaks first, use a non-clogging moisturizer if your skin starts to peel. After the breakout clears up get something like Dermalogica's Barrier Repair. It will repair your skin barrier (hence the name), it will also be great for your drying, aging and sensitive skin. Let me know how this works for you.
I agree that it's all about balance too. How is your diet? Eat clean organic foods. Do you drink enough water? Water is so basic; I know... but it can really do wonders on clearing up any toxins in the body and your skin will clear up. But, It might take a while and water isn't the only thing you should do to balance your skin.
I love Dermalogica products too. I have combination skin. Dry on the cheeks and oily on the forehead and nose. I use Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel and Skin Smoothing Cream.
Hope I helped out a little bit.
