Will silver plated jewelry rust?I understand silver may tarnish but will it ever rust?
It shouldn't, but plating it just a thin layer on top of another metal. If the plating wears thin, then, depending on what metal is below, it could possibly rust.

I've never heard of silver rusting. It definitely does tarnish but its easy to keep your silver jewelry like new.
