It depends what kind of piercing that you have? A piercer would tell you to NOT touch the are or play with it a lot especially for the first 8 weeks. It takes a while for them to heal completely. Constant touching could lead to infection. It is important to clean it but just be gentle. Use a cotton swab, water and a mild soap (like Dial). You can also use a little sea salt and warm water to clean the area but DO NOT over do it. Just let it heal on it's own.
