Do you buy designer apparel and accessories?

If so, what is the benefit? Where do you shop?

No. I can't really see the purpose of paying three or more times as much for clothing only because it has some fancy name stamped on it somewhere.

I agree. Unless an item is a classic design with better tailoring and overall quality, I see no point in buying something to show off a name. Thank you for your answer:)

When I was young, single, and had a good job, I shopped at expensive stores.  I had fewer clothes, of course, because I am conservative regarding finances.  Now, I buy designer apparel and accessories from thrift shops having learned that the people who donate them must have large quantities and don't store these items for wearing the next season; therefore, they are in very good condition.

It's sensible to buy well-made classic pieces which can be worn season after season. I have just never understood the fascination w/ designer names and dislike glaring logos, etc. You have a very smart approach to shopping:)
