False lashes make my eyes feel heavy. What's a good mascara for length and volume?

I very rarely find a mascara that has the capability of doing both. It's usually either one or the other.
I tend to prefer lash lengthening...in which case I typically use Maybelline. It seems to work best for me.

Does it give a false lash look? Or am I asking for too much?

hmmm...I don't think so. lol and no I don't think you're asking for too much. I just am not familiar with any mascara which accomplishes a false lash look, because that would require both length and volume, which not many mascaras can accomplish

Whenever anyone asks me this, I always say Great Lash by Maybelline.  Cheap and classic.  Been using it since I was twelve.  (I had raccoon eyes in sixth grade).

I have tried them all and I always come back to Lancome. I just think that Lancome makes the best mascara. Across their line they are all fantastic! Some people swear by Great Lash by Maybeline but personally I have never been a fan, it is just too hard to get off. It almost feels as if the Maybeline pulls my lashes out.

I've never had good luck with Cover Girl or Maybeline mascaras.  The past year or so I've been using Rimmel ExtendaLash to lengthen the lashes.  I've yet to find a mascara that both lengthen and thickens, so I usually buy two mascaras, one for lengthening and one for volume.  Right now I'm using L'loreal Volume.

Lancome also carries an excellent line of mascaras.  I probably need to go back to Lancome mascara.

There are lots of nice mascaras that are expensive, but for inexpensive drug store brands I've found nothing can beat Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume. It makes my lashes appear to be both thicker and longer.

I have very long yet thin lashes and it does require a major department store brand to achieve a fake lash look for myself.  The best mascara I have used is Benefit ~ Falsies. You can find it at Macy's and I think it costs around 20.00 per tube. It is worth it if you want that fake lash wing look with out using a primer.  I love, love, the whole makeup line by Benefit. It is not too expensive and the products last longer.

I was wrong about the name, it's Benefit, BadGal lashes, in a black tube with hot pink, I think it's their only one, I just got mine off ebay for 8.50!!  Saved 10 bucks.  It took some digging there, some sellers were trying to sell it over the retail price which should be about 20.00.   I am super excited, this is the best, for me, hope you try it out and love it too.
Just be prepared if you are a makeup fan, this line is addictive, they have everything you can think of that you think you can't live without.
