Acer Laptop Reviews 2016
Acer have always offered great value high performance laptops. The basic selling point of their laptops are power and mobility. Power is provided by the use of the latest technology and mobility, is derived from the non-bulky design. If you put an Acer laptop next to a HP or Toshiba laptop with the same width and height, you can see just how much thinner and lighter the Acer is. That means much greater mobility for Acer users.
In Acer laptop reviews 2016 we are going to review 3 Acer laptops: the big 17 inch, the compact 15 inch and the portable 10 inch netbook.
Acer Aspire AS5742-7653 15.6-Inch HD Display
This laptop comes with Intel Core i5-460M 2.53 GHz Processor, not available in the same price from other brands. The 15.6 inch HD screen makes it an ideal desktop PC replacement. The in-built graphics accelerator with dedicated system memory, makes for excellent graphics capability. The sound is enhanced by Dolby home theater. The multimedia features make this laptop, an excellent wide screen entertainment solution.
The keyboard is designed to put less strain on your hands. This laptop has 500 GB hard drive which, provides ample space for data storage. The DVD Drive is only double layer not blu-ray, but this slight lack is offset by the other features and the price. The laptop comes with both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity. It also has 3 USB 2.0 ports.
This heavy duty machine makes a light weight package of 5.74 lb (appox.), making it very portable. The battery life is 3.5 hours. This is fairly standard for a 15 inch laptop. If you need more consider the next laptop we review which has 8 hours of battery life.
The overall build is very high-end and despite the price, nothing in the product feels second rate.
Acer Aspire Timeline AS5820TZ-4433 15.6-Inch HD Display Aluminum
This is another member of the 'Aspire' series. The 'Time Series' laptop offers lower energy consumption, due to the individual components used.
The 15.6 inch LED backlit screen uses 33% less energy than a normal laptop screen. This technology handles background light and glare better than traditional laptop screens. The processor 'Intel dual-core SU4100' has a power consumption rating of 10W. The lower power usage means that battery life is extended up to 8 hours. The smart adapter provided with the machine stops energy consumption when the battery is full providing a 66% energy saving.

Acer's 'Timeline' redefines mobility with it's extended battery life and lighter built. The machine weighs just 5.3 lbs and is 1.16 inches thick (max). Acer also provides a data backup key to facilitate the backing up of data, making the laptop more reliable. The whole design is geared towards maximum mobility.
Acer AO532h-2588 10.1-Inch Onyx Blue Netbook
The standout features of this netbook are, the higher energy efficiency and better Wi-Fi connectivity. The overall energy efficiency means an extended battery life of 10 hours.
Netbooks don't use the same CPU's that go into laptops. This netbook uses Intel's newest and best netbook chip, the 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N450 processor.
Design wise the netbook is similar to the older Acer netbook designs. There are some significant design in terms of the keyboard and touch pad. The keyboard and touch pad are now larger. Acer seems to have work hard to make the key board design more user friendly with wider rounded-up keys. The touch pad is muti-touch and very sensitive requiring a light touch. These improvements make the typing and navigation a better experience.
The Netbook comes with a 10 inch screen of 1,024-by-600 resolution . The other features of the laptop include 250 GB hard drive, 3 USB ports and 1 GB RAM. The price of the system is around $300 which, is the lowest in it's category.
Though this is a top of the line netbook and very portable, it has the same problem coping with very resource hungry programs and running multiple programs, that all netbooks have. If you need that kind of power get a laptop.
For web browsing, web chatting or doing some work in Office the Acer netbook can't be beat.
The Netbook by Acer is another prime example of quality on a budget. With it's simplistic but high functioning design and low price it is one of the most popular netbook options on the market.
